Catching up on games - Only the Vikings could go from one side of a shutout to the other in the span of two games, and of course it was against my Commies. Honestly on brand enough for both teams, I can't be surprised. The Saints somehow won a game, the Broncos are actually going to have a win that reflects their record (with an asterisk because it's the fucking Raiders), and I now have to hope that the Texans defense just absolutely motherfucks Mahomes enough to kill any chance the Chiefs have.

Also the Steelers are still on pace for 9-8 Superbowl, who gives a fuck. The entire AFC North should be relegated. In Draft news - the Titans winning means the Giants currently hold the Number 1 Pick.

Who is the best head coach in the NFL?

It’s not necessarily about having the best record, but which current head coach consistently meets or exceeds expectations with the player talent at his disposal?
Mike Tomlin because Steelers fans always expect him to be mid and never fails. (Seriously how has this nigga not been tossed yet?)

Because 9-7 will always be good enough for a Wild Card, and you can catch enough of your schedule asleep to get that many wins every season, especially when the Browns and Bengals are in your division.

So, until either the competition improves and knocks them down to 5 wins a year? Or they get a lot more mediocre on their own? Pittsburgh can sleepwalk into the playoffs (and get eliminated immediately) which "proves" no big shakeups in the coaching staff are needed, you'll ruin that consistency!

They were chanting "Fire Tomlin" last week, but, after today against Baltimore? It's all forgotten and they're probably apologizing for doubting him.

My only takeaway from Seahawks-Falcons, a otherwise now-standard beatdown of bad teams (man, even Pete's best teams didn't reliably beat the shit out of bottom 8 teams, it's a welcome change):
The Seahawks have the strongest special teams unit in the league, and it's not close.
When you talk defense, there are something like 4 other teams where it's debatable - Texans, Rams, Broncos, sometimes Packers are all strong contenders alongside the Seahawks. Nobody's got us on Special Teams though. Long fields for most teams on returns, multiple blocked kicks (Emmanwori alone has 2 that I recall, and he isn't the only one to get in the way of a few), multiple SCORES on returns, Jason Meyer is pretty much automatic, Dickson's been as much of a HOFer as a punter pretty much can be for years now, even when this team was mediocre at best. This game was proof that this is the most complete team the Seahawks have fielded since the peak of the LOB. We almost beat the Rams despite Darnold throwing 4 picks. This defense held the Falcons to just field goals while the offense sorted its shit out in the first half.
We are going places.
EDIT: I feel like I want to throw up saying this, but, please, MacDonald, do everything you can to keep *hurgh* Harbaugh around next year
