The potential was always there with Heinicke since his sophomore season at Old Dominion. I get that it's FCS but he put up huge numbers there. He's had time to mature and get a taste of NFL speed and finally getting reps with the first team consistently.

I don't expect him to be a top 10 QB but I think he could easily be a middle of the road pro.

Giants should be ashamed of themselves.

They absolutely humiliated themselves twice in less than a week. Fucking losers.

This game came down to them making absolutely stupid bonehead mistakes at the worst possible time and it cost them.

Suck a dick Giants. You suck ass.

That injury tho. Being a chad with no cable I had to listen to it on the radio on and off while doing stuff and I was tuned in for that part. I think I'm kinda glad I didn't get a chance to see that. Damn.

The particular way in which they lost is all the more hilarious when you remember that Joe Judge's role on the Patriots was as Special Teams coordinator.
I'm starting to wonder if the front office made a deal with the devil in the late 2000's and they're still paying for it.

You know when your team is in the Super Bowl, and you say something like "if you just give us this one, you can have 5 or 10 years of bad luck or crappiness or something?"

The Giants won the Super Bowl 9 years ago. Hell, the Broncos won the Super Bowl 5 years ago. The Eagles won THREE years ago and that seems like a LONG time ago.

EDIT: Karadius Toney has NEGATIVE-TWO receiving yards so far this season.

Giants fucking up is spectacular, they're finding new and inventive ways of causing Five Points pain.
On a scale of one to Chargers its impressive.

A penalty for taunting is fine, I guess. But fifteen yards? Should be five at most. Saying words that might hurt someone's feefees is not on the same level as intentionally playing too rough and trying to hurt someone. All these taunting calls stopping the game and moving the line so far are getting annoying.

Pain, so much pain. Vikings lose because of the kicker again.

We’re winning maybe 4 games this season.

Even when the refs are trying to gift you the game, notoriously smug faggot Pete Carroll still finds a way to grab defeat out of the jaws of victory.

Also there's a positive about the missed kick for the Vikings, at least it wasn't during the NFC Championship.
He's going to drive Russ to another team by year's end if the playcalling keeps falling apart in the second half like it did today, and this faggot fanbase is going to act like Russ is being a diva for wanting to play in an offense more modern than the Palm Pilot.

Am I the only one who is just plain bored by the NFL these days?

Almost every game feels like the winner is determined on which team has the final possession of the ball. Scores have been running up high on both sides of the ball with almost every game, and it feels as if the defenses have no impact on the game whatsoever anymore.

I miss the days of long drives that would last almost 8-9 minutes and tough defenses. The last defense that I consider to be really good-to-great were the 2015 Denver Broncos (during Peyton Manning's final year). Since then, defenses have not impressed me. Lord knows the defensive performances in the Super Bowls ever since have been subpar at best. The most memorable Super Bowl in recent years, to me, was when the Falcons hilariously choked against the Patriots, but that wasn't because I was so enamored or impressed by the game itself.

Roger Goddell is truly ramming the game into the fucking ground. The defenses aren't nearly as effective because of all the unnecessary rule changes that keep piling up every year.

I’m on record willing to take back everything I said about the NY Jets’ Zach Wilson being promising. After getting four interceptions against the Patriots, I’m still wondering where one went wrong. The Pats don’t even have a Cam Newtown, Gronk, or Tom Brady anymore.

I wasn’t expecting Joe Namath like numbers, but seriously – four interceptions?! That’s just insane.

To be fair, Belichick knows how to run a defense, and he wasn't gonna get shown up by a rookie, let alone a rookie from the fucking Jets. Don't give up hope on him yet, it's week 2 of 18.

I will agree with you that the league has gone a bit too far in hampering defensive play with the rule changes, but 3 of the last 4 primetime games that I've watched (MNF Ravens v. Raiders, TNF Giants v. Redskins, and SNF Ravens v. Chiefs) were absolute fucking barnburners. I'd like if the league would chill out on enacting rule changes that cripple defenses, but so far this season has been anything but boring.

Belichek is 21-6 (now 22-6) against Rookie QBs. I can't find the stat, but he is also something like 8 or 9-1 vs. rookie QBs with rookie head coaches. To say nothing about the Patriots beating the Jets 10 of the last 10 meetings (now 11/11.)

Having said that, if the Jets have a bright spot, I'm not seeing it. Wilson may or may not be very good, but absolutely nothing is working for them right now.
