I think the falcons and one other team were trying to scout him last time and he pulled his publicity stunt. Of all the teams that need a QB, nobody is going to look at him for an option. Why would you take a guy who is old, hasn't played since 2016, lost his job to Blaine Gabbart and then Christian Ponder. Any head coach hiring him will lose their job within 2 years

Bears trade Mack to Chargers for a 2nd round pick this year and 6th round pick next year. I guess everyone in the NFC north is just trying to rebuild and be ready to win once Rodgers retires/leaves the packers
Not sure if it was the Falcons specifically, but he did have that stupid showcase thing set up by the NFL in Atlanta back in 2019. In 2017 Pete Carroll said he regretted not signing him back in 2017 lol. According to Wikipedia, Kaepernick spoke with both the AAF and XFL about playing in 2019 but wanted a guaranteed $25 million. lol, lmao even. A very serious attempt to play obviously.

I would rather hear more Aaron Rodger fake rumors then listen to ESPN try and convince NFL GMs that Kaepernick is still worth signing. The retards regurgitating woke talking points don't understand that the GMs and coaches livelihood is on the line to win and Kaepernick will guaranteed give them losses

On the one hand, I laugh about this and I'll probably share boomer memes on Facebook saying stuff like this.

On the other hand, it's actually not a terrible strategy. The Packers are absolutely not going to hit paydirt three times in a row re: QB, so when Rodgers retires takes one last big hit that nearly puts him in a wheelchair er, uh, isn't playing for the Packers anymore, the division is going to be ripe for the picking.

I'd like to see him get signed and the O-line be a sieve because they don't like him and he gets pummeled.

Why can't this jogger get gone and STAY gone?
Is being a *isney woke-hire not enough for him?!
Because he needs some publicity to get another Nike deal

Too many people are depending on winning in the league to even let it get to that point

Ray Lewis: "I actually like the Ravens ownership. They've done a lot for Baltimore and poor communities."

Colin Kapernick's wife: "Shut up, house nigger."

Yeah that's why Colin won't have a job in the NFL again. Who the fuck wants that drama? The second he underthrows a receiver she's gonna be calling his team mates names on Twitter.

Already saw Mina Kimes saying that Seattle should give him a look at QB.

And that's precisely why female sports journalists were a mistake.
She's dumb for saying it, but we're also the most likely front office to be retarded enough to do it. Pete was publicly lamenting that he didn't sign Kaep when we were looking for a quality backup in 2017. He has a horrible savior complex for washed up players.
Needless to say, if we go into 2022 with the Afro taking snaps under center I'm switching to my AFC team, who actually are capable of keeping beloved veterans on the roster and just gave Bosa major help on the other end of the D-line.

If you guys sign the Afro, I will find a way to watch all of your games with him under center. Then I will watch all the cowboys games with some kind of liquor and hopefully get over the 2014 NFC Championship game

Are there any Seattle fans who are like, "Oh, yes, this is a step forward, Wilson was dragging us down, now we can get a real QB" or anything like that? I haven't found any, and it's not like NFL fans aren't capable of self-delusion. This is such an obviously poor choice that I can't help but wonder if it's part of an organized crime game fixing operation or something like that.

Or, giving the benefit of the doubt, maybe Wilson really wanted to be traded and was starting to be really toxic in the locker room or something, but I guess we have no way of knowing that. Unless or until something like that comes out, though, who can blame Seattle fans for having no faith in their team's management anymore?

Trading Wilson isn't a sign that the management is incompetent. That and releasing Bobby Wagner indicates a rebuild. Signing Afro as a QB is a sign of incompetence

No one is deluding themselves that this move doesn't set us back. The infighting is mostly breaking down into Pro-Russ and Pro-Pete camps. The Wilson fans put all the blame on Pete and the front office being incapable of building a decent roster and not letting Russ play the way he wanted to. The Carroll stans seem to think Russ is just a weird religious freak who only gets along with his WR core and quit on the team this year before forcing his way out. And a new group of retards who swarmed our subreddit in particular ever since the Kaepernick rumors came out who are thirstposting about him like it's still 2016.

The truth, from what I can tell, is that there were problems all around. Russ didn't trust the playcaller, no matter who Pete put in the position, because Pete spooks easily and overrides his OCs to call extremely conservative run plays (aka Peteball). But Pete didn't trust Russ because he was either unable or unwilling to change his play style in response to his declining athleticism, and started to break out of perfectly clean pockets out of habit and take embarrassing sacks, when he wasn't throwing ugly picks after ignoring a wide open checkdown pass.
Russ also didn't trust the front office because they have constantly whiffed on finding him anything more than mediocre linemen, or building up the rest of the roster. Schneider reportedly told Russ' agent to eat a dick when he presented some asinine list of demands right after the 2020 season ended, which led his agent to release that list of acceptable trade destinations to the media. And, on top of all of that, Russ has always had bad chemistry with the rest of the team, aside from maybe his WR room, as mentioned previously. His relationship with his line is notoriously frayed, the Legion of Boom resenting how much Pete tried to talk Russ up after his rookie season drove a wedge between them, and he's generally a weird guy who doesn't attend team events aside from the bible study he set up.

It can only set you back for a couple years if you draft correctly. If you don't draft correctly, you guys won't be competitive for years
And we retained the staff that hasn't drafted correctly since the early 2010's, so...
