The Saints definitely have the best chance of those three, but I can see him strong-arming the Texans to trade for less with a team he has confidence in, the same way Russ worked over our front office in lieu of sending him to the Commanders or Eagles for 3 firsts and then some.
Which may very well be the Seahawks, if pervasive rumors are right.

EDIT: The Vikings just extended Cousins' contract for the next year, poor Colts, their options are getting thinner and thinner.
Since no actual rumors came up in that article, I am guessing the Colts are one of the teams pushing for Watson along with the Panthers and the Saints. I just can't see the Seahawks making a push after getting rid of Russell for another QB with literally no other weapons around him.

Texans won't trade to Indy most likely because of in conference and division but the Saints are a really good team that beat Brady twice last year through their defense alone. Just imagine how good they might be with a QB better than crab legs

Wait, literally no weapons? We have one of the best WR rooms in the league. DK & Lockett attract so much attention that dudes like Freddie Swain put up respectable numbers just because of how much they're ignored on field.
Our defense is ass and we're still in injury hell when it comes to running backs, but come one now. Even at our worst the Seahawks are an upgrade from what he had to deal with in Houston his last season, where Brandin Cooks was his best target.

Ok if Seattle traded away Wilson for draft picks, why would they get rid of that to get Watson? This would be the weird front office plays that would kill your franchise

Because we aren't very competently run, I think despite his bluster Pete is old and probably wants to reload instead of rebuild, and Wilson probably demanded the trade.

He should have trolled everyone and announced it with this on twitter:

If he followed it up with an explanation and then a festivus reference, I might have become a fully TB12 fan this year

Good news. Watson turned down a trade to the Seahawks so you guys have to rebuild now

And Lockett is working out with Kaepernick and singing his praises. I want off this ride. If he's signed our offseason coverage is going to be insufferable, and God help us if Drew Lock manages to beat him in the QB battle.
At least the Chargers signed JC Jackson, while our clownshow FO is bringing back Sidney Jones (ugh) and paying Will Dissly, who couldn't beat Gerald Everett on the depth chart, TE1 money.

If? You mean when Drew Lock beats him for the QB1 spot

Now I might be biased, being a Saints fan, but, looking at all his other potential landing spots (Atlanta, Carolina, Philly, Cleveland, etc.), who else would he honestly WANT to go to. Watson wants a ring and is tired of hanging out on dysfunctional teams. Atlanta is terrible, Philly already has their "quarterback of the future" who they still can't win with, the Browns are the Browns and are gonna Browns, and the Panthers have a non-existent O-Line and the last thing Watson wants to risk is injury. The Saints are the only team actually built to win now, and it feels like all they need is a good quarterback, and maybe one or two good receivers to do it.

I'd really like for him to be in Atlanta but the front office and coaching is a fucking mess.

Saints are the best case scenario in all honesty but I don't think Cleveland would be all that bad of a destination either. They're still leaving him options on offense like Amari Cooper and Chubb, unlike the Panthers who are giving up eight games per season of McCaffrey.

Best options for Watson
1. Saints
2. Indy
3. Browns
4. Panthers
5. Seattle

Also Mayfield says he wants out so if Watson oks a trade to Cleveland, they might throw the kitchen sink in the trade

I'm astonished at how badly the Browns are treating Mayfield. The dude got drafted into, by far, the worst situation in the league, suffered a carousel of head coaches and offensive coordinators over the course of his rookie deal, and never said a bad word about it. He was professional, gave a ton to the city of Cleveland, was beloved by the fan base, and ultimately led the team to their first playoff appearance in 18 years. Where they demolished the Steelers in what should've been Big Ben's final game. At least they made him cry.

And in response to 1 down year playing through a torn-up shoulder, with tons of other issues on both sides of the ball, the Browns are ditching him to chase after Deshaun Watson instead of having him play out his 5th year option on a "prove it or lose it" kind of deal. I guess whoever was telling Haslam it was a bad idea to meddle in the team's affairs left to do something else, cause this is classic Browns behavior.

I thought the saints had insane cap issues?

The Saints have already got under the cap with their contract restructures. And if I know the Saints office and their black magic contract skills, they will gladly move even more money to get Watson if needed.

Unfortunately for the Browns, this isn't a bidding war. It all depends on where Watson wants to go, so things have the be looked at from his perspective. If he tells Houston "The only team I'm waving my no trade clause for is the Saints, make it work", then Houston will have to try to make it work or walk away from the deal. Watson's no trade clause means he can strong arm the team into a lesser deal with a team that won't give as much. Their only other option is to not do a deal, and then probably be forced to release him while getting nothing back for him.

Restructuring to push forward cap hits to future years + the cap goes up every year (except 2021) = The Cap is a Myth
Unless NFL viewership notably declines or we have another pandemic, the salary cap is just a way for NFL GMs to play accounting simulator and infinitely play it forward.
As an example, Rodgers now has a cap hit of $60 million in 2025 on his new contract, but by then the cap will probably be more like $250 million instead of $208 like it is now.
