The Raiders have released their openly gay player, Carl Nassib. This move should really straighten out their roster. Apparently he was more interested in getting sacks in the locker room than on the field and this made some of his teammates uncomfortable. Good luck in your future endeavors, Carl. Maybe you could be a back up on the Packers, they're pretty deep at your position.

The possibility he'd have a warm welcome because Clemson must be the only thing keeping the Panthers in the discussion. Rhule and Fritterer are already on the hot seat, throwing to Robby Anderson and DJ Moore isn't really that attractive, and CMC is great when healthy but is a total glass cannon, unlike Kamara.
 
lmfao, they torched their relationship with Baker and leaked bad stories about him to the media, only to whiff on getting Watson, and now have to either salvage that relationship or trade him away and settle for an older, even more injury-prone version of Baker in Jimmy Garoppolo.

Why would Jimmy G want to go there? The Browns are probably going to end up throwing a ton of draft capital at the third or fourth best QB from this draft class and be fucked for years to come. Classic Browns

$$$, and because SF clearly plans on trading him, and right now his destinations look like the Colts or Browns.
 
The Saints are pushing the full court press for Watson. They met him again, with the team owner in attendance, and just this morning, they've cleared up almost enough cap space to absorb his contract. If they get back Terron Armstead, who's reportedly waiting to see if the Saints land Watson or not before making a decision on his future, and restructure Watson's contract, they'll have more than enough to make moves in free agency. Whatever offer the Saints made to the Texans is already on the table, so its in Watson's court. Also reportedly, its now come down to the Saints and the Falcons, at least according to Aaron Wilson. The only reason I can even think Watson would even consider a dysfunctional team like Atlanta is because he is from the Atlanta(ish) area and worked as a ball boy for the Falcons at one point.

There's also a rumor going around (yes, I know, twitter, be skeptical, etc) that in pursuing Watson the Falcons have totally burned bridges with Ryan, in an eerie parallel to what the Browns just pulled.
Kyle Pitts just had to delete a tweet saying that the Falcons are gonna be scary next year, so there's that...
I really hope Watson makes his decision today so I can clown on whoever signed for him properly, this waiting on tiptoes stuff so far this week has lasted far too long.

Matt Ryan going on the market for another team would be really fun to watch. He has been kind of pulling a Stafford in Detroit with the Falcons for years but he is older now and Idk how much longer he has got. Would be fun to see him pull a Rivers and go to the Colts for a year or 2 and try to win

I mean they basically told the man they have no faith in him. Don't see how they won't trade him. If he refuses to play, ala Beckham, they will probably be forced to release him anyway. The only reason they won't trade him is because they fear they won't get anything for him, but he's a good enough quarterback that they could get something.

The browns are trying to get Mayfield to pull a Rodgers. Problem is, Mayfield isn't that good and the Packers still had control over his contract.

They won't be able to get anything for him now and it only gets worse. Although they have until July 17th I believe to sign him to a new deal

Hell, I'd take him for in exchange for swapping thirds this year. We've got the cap space and he's absolutely an upgrade over Lock. And, if he's good at playing Peteball, I don't think there'd be the same kind of pressure for an overpriced extension that the Browns were facing with him next year.

Offer up Drew Lock for Mayfield and a 3rd or 4th round pick and see if the Browns will bite on that
