The Saints have re-signed Dwayne Washington. Seems they only cut him so that they could keep Trevor Penning and Malcolm Roach on the team's 53 man roster long enough (a day) to put them on IR and still allow them to play later this year.
See, this is why I hardly pay attention to drafts and just watch the big men bump into each other when the season starts. What kind of 7D underwater baccarat nonsense is that? Too crazy for my smol bren.

But then how are you going to enjoy the Raiders fucking up their first round draft picks?

2021: Alex Leatherwood- Cut
2020: Henry Ruggs III- Jail
2020: Damon Arnette- Cut, then jail
2019: Clelin Ferrel- 5th year option declined
2019: Josh Jacobs- 5th year option declined
2019: Johnathan Abram- 5th year option declined

Just 3 years of perfection

Yeah if you're going to tank and do a rebuild you may as well go all the way.

If you're thinking in terms of next season's draft picks, it's better to have a complete nightmare of a season instead of springing for Jimmy G and having a mediocre one. Sucks for the fans, but the smart ones know what's up.
Sucks for the players, too. Especially if you're contract is up at the end of the year. Tanking directly fucks with a team's players future income.

I remain fascinated how much of the blame for that stuck to Gruden and not Mayock, at least outside of Raiders fandom. I guess it's easier to blame chucky because he's more of a personality.

Cardinals CB spills hot oil on his feet when cooking. https://www.nfl.com/news/cardinals-cb-antonio-hamilton-lands-on-nfi-list-after-cooking-accident

I cannot imagine how hard that must be to try and sleep with your feet burned like this.

I would blame the curse of Al Davis
I always chuckle at the insane, old Jewish man who was poor (relative to other owners) and also flexed his dick muscles at the other owners constantly. He was unironically a early "statistics" guy, except his data was focused on the least important shit in a game where the measurables apply the least to actual gameplay.

God bless him pulling out the overhead projector to explain why he fired Lane Kiffin.

I have to go back and see if one of those reasons was, "He didn't see how amazing Jamarcus Russell is"
His pre-draft hype was crazy, so I can't really fault Davis for that.

Mayock: "he can be the best QB in the league if he wants to be."

Russell: "yo I got my bag I'm out."

I am pretty sure Lane Kiffin didn't want want him and was very adamant about it. Just another long line of busts that Al Davis insisted on getting

Start of the season, let's go! Should be a banger with Bills-Rams.
