This has huge potential to age terribly but I really don't think we take a QB in the first 2 rounds this spring. None of the consensus top QB prospects are going to us.
I think they legit believe in Lock.

I’m a Broncos fan. Expect some big throws, some dumb as hell INTs and just random shit otherwise. Or maybe you have better coaches and can get him doing it right?

E: he does have a cannon for an arm so that’s good. But… it’s also bad.

I agree with you in the abstract but these guys just took a team led by Geno Smith to fringe playoff status. And I know Denver's coaching situation enough to admit that Lock hasn't had the best coaching around him.
I can't articulate a general defense as to why he's a good prospect, but this past year has me refusing to question decisions made by Carroll/Schneider for at least the next few years.

Levis is unlikely to be there by the time Seahawks get to use their Broncos pick. Bears and Cards will almost certainly trade down and Texans and Colts both want a QB.

The Saints have already made it known that at least one first round pick is to be included in any trade, and history backs up that that demand is both reasonable and liable to be met, and its possible that the Saints don't want just one 1st rounder. The problem with the Broncos is they have little to actually offer because they sold the farm to get their current QB. Their highest first round pick for next year will probably only go mid-1st Round, probably the 29th or something like that. This article postulates that the Saints may take their 2024 1st round pick instead, but I don't know if that will entice the Saints.

This article goes over some of the Saints more viable options here. The one thing I will note has changed since this article was written is that Houston no longer has the number 1 pick, Chicago does.
 
Straight up, the next week is going to be wall-to-wall coverage about how fucked it is that Houston just fired their 2nd black hc in as many years, and, as much as I generally think race politics are a distraction for the league, there's a point there.
I don't think Cully or Smith are particularly good coaches, but Houston shuffling through a roulette of black coaches while obviously tanking is extremely suspect.
Mills deserved better too, as mid of a QB as he is.
 
What the fuck, Packers?! Did the rest of the team get into Aaron Rodgers' personal stash or something?! First, Rasoul Douglas inexplicably walks up between the teams during the field goal attempt and slaps the ball out of the center's hands during the snap, and starts a fight, leading to a personal foul that gives the Lions enough yardage for the go ahead touchdown that wins the game. And Quay Walker gets ejected for pushing a staff member... for the SECOND TIME THIS SEASON! And it was a Lions trainer who was just trying to clear the scene to assist an injured player. Nigs gotta nig I guess.... but it was hilarious watching his toddler level tantrum walking back to the locker room after being ejected.🤣 Gotta respect the trainer who turned around and immediately stepped up to him though, he showed no fear. And respect to the Lions for playing their asses off even though they were eliminated from the playoffs.

Classy move with the "CPR celebration" after the sack, Squeelers....🙄 I know that alot of people are already over the Damar Hamlin "thing" but cmon, read the room people. At least give it a couple of weeks.

The Browns, besides doing what they do best (losing to the Squeelers), also managed to do what they do 2nd best (disappointing their own fanbase out of spite) by firing one of the only notable players that they've had in the past 4 decades, Bernie Kosar, for openly placing a bet for the Browns now that sports betting is legal in Ohio. Even though I personally dont give a fuck about the Browns, I think its bullshit all around because the NFL actively influences the outcome of certain games to reinforce betting odds has been courting the sports betting market for years, yet prohibits people with even the most tenuous of connections to NFL employment from being openly involved with it.

Dak Prescott had one of the worst games of his career last night. And now leads the league in interceptions despite missing 5 games. If he wasn't Jerry Jones's golden boy, he would have been benched long ago. Since the Cowboys had already clinched a playoff spot, Cooper Rush should have started the game, he couldn't have done any worse than Dak. Hard to believe that this is the same team that beat the probable superbowl champ Eagles 3 weeks ago. I will be surprised if they beat the Buccaneers and Brady next week

Idk if they are better off waiting 2-3 years before firing their shitty head coaches or if ripping the bandaid off after every year with shitty coaches is the way to go. Honestly think they just need to stop looking at terrible coaches and take a chance on a coordinator or up and coming coach that they can give a few years. If they really want to go for a hail mary to save their franchise, they should try Brian Flores. Would solve a ton of issues and backlash

It all depends on what Payton wants, honestly. Saints can't shove him somewhere he doesn't want to be since he'll just stay retired.

I doubt he wants to deal with Russ or Kyler.
