Well, you see, he's Lamar.

He turned down that $133m guaranteed deal from the Ravens which would have put him at number two in terms of guaranteed money at the moment.

But he has to have the number one contract in the league.

We could talk about a lot of issues with Lamar, like how he hasn't been able to play a full season or how mobile QBs deteriorate quickly after injuries pile up but that's ignoring the fact that this dude straight up wants, literally, a contract even worse than a contract that everyone else thought was the dumbest idea of all time.

Yeah you'd think his agent would advise him on these things OH WAIT

Can't edit my post but apparently Lamar is stonewalling the Ravens until they sign DHop.

At this point I love whatever the fuck is going on. Lamar somehow gonna get full roster control.

It's asinine. I'm sure when they exit the playoffs early next winter Ravens fans will literally AND metaphorically be eating crow over all these aged wideouts they handed a fat contract.
If he was on a NFC team I'm sure Lamar holding the franchise for ransom would have panned out better.

The Eagles extended Jalen Hurts to a record setting $255 million (a little over $179 million is guaranteed) contract over five seasons.

Anyone buying the stories of the Cardinals trading back the 3rd overall pick?
I expect them to trade both Buddah Baker and Hopkins first before they trade the third overall. Andy Reid has openly said before he loves Buddah Baker in an interview previously and he'd like to get him, so I would expect either of them to try and go to Kansas City. When Reid made those comments, it was awhile ago and I'd be surprised if he was still as good physically as he used to be after this seasons injury.

I also want to test the waters here. What team(s) are you all lookin at right now going into the draft?

49er's like always just because they're my team. Although honestly I think it's going to be a pretty boring draft for them. What they really need is to draft someone who won't get injured.

And the Lions because I'm really looking forward to their season this year, they're poised to be a strong team for the first time in... ever?

tbh Howie drafting Wentz's replacement and realizing he should cut bait about a year before the rest of the league cottoned on should earn him legendary GM status.
I have consistently been in awe of the kind of shenanigans the Eagles get away with.

I just wonder what is going to happen now with the Hurts deal in place. Its a lot easier to maneuver when you got a QB on the rookie deal but now that the money is being put out there, who knows what they can do

It worked out so well for Green Bay last year...

Yeah, because Rodgers has a ring with Green Bay and they've been to multiple NFC championships after it. He also provided stability at the position because he has been remarkably durable for a franchise that plays fast and loose with its O-Line.

Pat McAfee discussed this and read a tweet from some insider who discussed the Lamar contract. Baltimore has offered Lamar about the same amount of money as Hurts just got, but because Lamar doesn't know how to read a contract, he thinks he's not getting what he's valued at. So it's two people talking passed each other because one is a fucking retard from Florida who can ball okay.

Good news! The Cardinals finally have new uniforms.

New Orleans. Gave up a great draft pick last year to get a player who didn't even play last season and was never going to be a starter, got back a middling first round pick for trading their coach. Despite that, they've been decisive in the offseason, and feel like one of the few teams in the NFC who actually improved (on paper, in any case). It will interesting to see what they do in the draft with their picks. The NFC south is wide open with Brady gone, so NO will be hard pressed to capitalize on that. Whatever the Saints decide to do, it will be entertaining at least.

I mean, they managed to fleece the Saints twice. That by itself is quite an achievement.

Mr. 5' 8" is looking really happy for a guy whose team went 4-13 because he's an injury prone tard who plays video games instead of training.

I think the Texans trade down from the #2 pick because the QB just isn't worth it. I would roll with Mills another year but I imagine they'll just sign some old guy or something.
