I wonder if Taylor is faking his injury to hold out, or if it's him legit not being recovered from the off-season surgery
I think it's pretty much his agent freaking out since the RB market will be worse next year so he wanted to get his cut with a huge signing.

Then hatched a plan with, er, faking an injury with an RB who is coming off an injury and demanding a trade and fighting cocaine-fueled Jim Irsay.

None of this sounds good.

The more likely story of Taylor is he actually over-trained and injured his body without the Colts knowing before/during negotiations of a new contract. Some how the Colts find out about it and put all stops to negotiations if not pulling back/diminishing their offers upon learning of said injury. This now putting Taylor in the dumbest situation possible and probably hurting the RB contract negotiations.

Judgment came down on Kamara. Suspended for 3 games.

What the hell is it with RBs and casinos?
Kamara really lucked out here, as did the Saints. Best case scenario was a two game suspension, worst case was a possible six game suspension, so three games feels a like a good compromise. The Saints have already worked to fix up their running back room, so they have a enough talent at the position that they can afford to not have Kamara for three games.

That's the funniest thing about it. He knew he couldn't pass a physical and STILL didn't shut the hell up. Did he not think this would eventually come out?

I find it interesting how many players are suddenly hurt after signing a big deal.

A while back, I was unfortunate to be watching a vikings game with a bunch of vikings fans but they told a funny story. One of their kids worked at a local grocery store and said that Randy Moss use to come into the store every week to buy just an entire cart full of junk food. And I can bet he wasn't the only one. Most likely these NFL players have terrible diets but lift weights basically every day and run through practices throughout the week that just burn off everything. So during the offseason, they just keep eating and don't workout enough

Baltimore has had a few free agents who spend a couple weeks failing the teams conditioning test. We had that fat fuck LT from Minnesota.. McKinney? Back during the super bowl year that dude couldn't pass it for over a month. Randy Moss talked about his shit diet all the time, but he was also a black redneck and he didn't sit around his house like a fat slob 24/7. That dude had a life in the woods. Ochocinco would talk about his diet of nothing but McDonalds too. The issue isn't really WRs though, it's always RBs and linemen.

With linemen it makes some sort of sense since it can be a bitch to maintain that kind of weight. In high school our O-Line used to go to McDonald's and just ask them for two of everything on the menu then they'd split it.

You'd think professional football players making tons of money could figure out something else though.

e: a word, probably need coffee

Absolutely, unfortunately there are those who have no self discipline and gorge themselves year round with no exercise and become a shell of themselves because they've fucked up their knees, ankles and feet just trying to get back in to shape year round. Jonathan Ogden was a 6'9" LT and if you look up a picture of him he looks like some mid-west car salesman. You would never believe that man was probably 100 pounds heavier than he is today.

A group of Native Americans is trying to get the Commanders changed back to the Redskins.

Preseason football is awful. Im watching it anyway.

Football's back, baby.
I found a video on the first episode of Hard Knocks but they privated the video before it could be shared and downloaded. Actually has a chance to be decent this season. They aren't following around characters that are gonna be cut yet so its all the super stars and Aaron Rodgers seems to be enjoying the lime light a bit. Actually excited for episode 2
