Also lol how do the Steelers only play half their team for 3/4 of every game but still win
Kenny Pickett can't keep getting away with it!
It's a Mike Florio article, he's just stirring up bullshit for the traffic to his website.

Not surprised this is a Florio written article. But any rate, the people over at the Olympics will probably cover it up with varsity level teams instead of hiring the NFL.It's a Mike Florio article, he's just stirring up bullshit for the traffic to his website.
And tbh even if owners didn't want to waive injury clauses in contracts to allow active NFL players to participate in the Olympics, American college-level talent would beat the shit out of any other country's flag football team as it is.
Also at this point I think the whole NFC South is in danger of being relegated to the XFL
Honestly, I’m happy we’re finding out what Purdy’s limitations are now - while we might’ve missed out on the entertainment of this hypothetical, imagine the calls for blood if Purdy pulled what he did last year and went undefeated, only to lose in the Conference Championship again (granted maybe without it being due to his arm exploding again…). Guy’d be labelled as a choke artist. All things considered, I am starting to see that Purdy does perhaps have some limitations that he'll have to make up for as his career progresses. Still a much better option than Jimmy G and Trey Lance though
Skip Bayless, Steven A Smith, every retarded talking head on those debate shows where the louder you are the better...Mike Florio has to be one of the most insufferable pieces of shit to be associated with Football.
Between him, Jim Rome and Colin Cowherd, I don't know which one I want to punch the most.
He watched the refs fix the game against the Colts on Sunday, I would be upset too.Irsay is saying that the NFL admitted its reffing was poor. Yeah no shit I think the overarching narrative this season has been bad refs,
It's not a false start unless their foot comes down before the snap. The NFL has come down on tackles that consistently line up too deep. That's a bigger advantage than getting half a step on the defense and is actually illegalThe NFL doesn't seem to want to crackdown too much on the offensive line false starting because it helps protect the QB
The NFL finally admitting reffing is dogshit? It's a Hallowe'en miracle!View attachment 5442010

Watch Lane Johnson play and you'll see it. He moves a half second before the ball is snapped almost every play and never gets penalized unless it's too obvious. I'm seeing it more and more around the league which goes back to my point. It's not a false start unless their foot comes down before the snap. Irsay was specifically talking about making all calls/penalties in the final two minutes reviewable. It's not about the league being soft on calls throughout the game to engineer the sport in a style they think will be most popular, it's about preventing those frequent nit-picky calls late in the game that either make fans think the refs are gambling on the game or the overall league is trying to rig who wins the championship. He watched the refs fix the game against the Colts on Sunday, I would be upset too.
I think its a bigger problem than bad refs, mainly because I don't think the refs are acting bad entirely on their own. Their bad calls usually line up with the NFL's interests, like overcalling roughing the passer. The NFL wants to protect their star QBs from getting hurt because nobody wants to watch a backup QB play and the NFL loses money. The NFL doesn't seem to want to crackdown too much on the offensive line false starting because it helps protect the QB and prevents the game from being a defensive battle. They think defensive games don't make as much money, so they will help the offense out. Kenny Pickett clearly being short on the 4th down sneak? Rams aren't good, so we would rather have the more popular team win.
That's why I don't think full time refs will fix anything. They are already doing the NFL's bidding for a cheaper price than full time refs. Why change anything?
Also, I can't imagine sports betting becoming more popular is helping any of this.
Roughing the passer calls have gotten a little ridiculous, but its an over correction from when you were allowed to just destroy a quarterback if he threw it half a second before you got to him.Their bad calls usually line up with the NFL's interests, like overcalling roughing the passer. The NFL wants to protect their star QBs from getting hurt because nobody wants to watch a backup QB play and the NFL loses money.
The kick step he and at least a dozen other tackles do is 100% legal as long as their foot doesn't come down before the ball is snapped.Watch Lane Johnson play and you'll see it. He moves a half second before the ball is snapped almost every play and never gets penalized unless it's too obvious. I'm seeing it more and more around the league which goes back to my point.
It was both their faults, honestly. The 1st interception also seemed as though he was throwing to a window that did not exist...either because the Receiver fucked up the route or he literally didn't see the defender (possible because he's barely 6 feet tall).
