I just find it hilarious how, two years in a row now, a team has lost on Christmas Eve and then benched their starting QB in favor of Jarrett Stidham, so they don't risk having to pay him injury guarantees before cutting him in the offseason.

Also if Wilson's truly gone he literally never played a snap of that contract extension.

So the question now is, can they get any trade value for Wilson? Or are they just going to cut him

For the team receiving him it'd be $17m next season and $37m the next since they don't have to worry about his signing bonus. Broncos get to eat that mistake themselves.

Less expensive than Danny Dimes at least. I'm really not sure what to think about his trade value.

Wow, thats not terrible. I guess the trade value only comes from teams wanting to sign Russell and willing to pay that amount. If there is a belief that a bidding war would happen, then the Broncos could trade him. Otherwise, probably better to just let him be cut and sign him afterwards

In hindsight the Chiefs winning the SB last year was the worst thing to happen to them. They took all the wrong lessons from it, they thought they could get by again with a mediocre receiving core cause Mahomes but it came back to bite them this year.
Of all people Andy should know better. t eagles fan.

They are still strong and dangerous tho. I would not count them out of top 5. Playoffs exp too I would not even rule them out of an SB win (very unlikely imo).

Eagles have been really sloppy got me worried.

Except you have teams like the Rams who put themselves in a shit position in the future just to win A super bowl. Teams will spend years trying to build a squad that can potentially win one and they may never end up doing it. So winning one is not the worst thing that can happen.
It really makes me wonder why the Rams keep hiring shitty coaches, but it doesn't surprise me either

Not sure if this is an omen of how dominant the NFL is or how shitty the NBA is but damn. I don't think this means Goodell is a good commissioner but he is definitely the least shit one for all american sports. If the NFL doesn't eat itself with the complaints, they might just become the only sport people care about with everyone fighting for a distant second place

I like basketball. I can't stand the NBA. The shitty early afternoon soap opera drama inside the teams and between players is cringe. It certainly isn't a dying league, but the NBA is definitely not a top priority for most people. Winter sports in general aren't enticing to the average sport fan I don't think.

Good news Broncos Fans, the Ride might have finally stopped - they’re benching Russ. It admittedly looks to be for Financial Reasons, but honestly without that little mid-season Streak the Broncos went on I feel like this would’ve happened a few weeks ago.

So, anyone thinking the Broncos are going to try and move on?

Congratulations Russel, you're now a New England Patriot!

Him and Belichick teaming up to get those final 27 wins that Bill needs to take the record would just be funny at this point
There's no way Russ would survive the Patriot way. He was babied by Carroll to the point of pissing off the rest of the team and Payton couldn't stand a full season of his crap, Belichick would tear him a new one so fast after his first scramble from a clean pocket that Russ would rip apart from the whiplash.

I just want to know what team is signing Stidham next? Just signing him to be a backup at this point is a threat to any big free agent QB with out clauses in their contract.

I'd say the Browns, but Watson got himself an ironclad.

I hope it's the Jets, lmao.

If Bill does sign him we'll know Russ officially passes as white, though.

I haven't watched a ton a Patriot games but do they consistently give clean pockets to Zappe and Jones?

Cam Newton's white passing now? I don't think Bill has an issue with black QBs

I'd put their line as middle of the pack, leaning towards upper half. Both Zappe and Jones have the pocket presence of a juco QB and Russ would similarly make things look worse than they actually are.

Well been in football melancholy since Christmas for obvious reasons. Congratulations to the Lions though for winning their Division and nearly beating the Cowboys at home which is basically impossible thanks to ref bullshit. What a bunch of bs from the refs.

I just really hope at this point they don't give Lamar the MVP award. He really doesn't deserve it even after that game. Give it to CMC please.

>Lions get assfucked by the refs

Usually it’s with Green Bay, but I’m like 90% sure they fucked them for Jimmy Johnson.

>refball

Regardless, the Loins are doing great this year and I can't wait to see Dallas get asspounded in Detroit in the playoffs.

The Zebra is immunized against all dangers: one may call him a scoundrel, parasite, swindler, profiteer, it all runs off him like water off a raincoat. But call him a Zebra and you will be astonished at how he recoils, how injured he is, how he suddenly shrinks back: “I’ve been found out.”

Its a lot of teams in Jerry World. Gotta give Dallas as much help as possible. Otherwise they might be exposed as an average team in a shit division

Dallas is going to get the 5th seed and end up playing the NFC South team unfortunately. Its the 6th seed who will go to Detroit
