The fact that celebrities have any form of political sway at all and are lauded for anything more than their entertainment value is a massively retarded problem we have in this country. However we let the novelty of it stay long, long ago and now it won't fucking leave.
I could give a fuck less about a celebrity endorsement and think if you need it, you probably shouldn't be voting, but like you said; this is nothing new. But what really made me laugh about this conspiracy theory was how Occam's Razor was just put to death in order for it to live.

The fact that people are writing this up as anything more than basic sensationalism has been lighting my month. You can start a space program with how often my sides have been sent into orbit from this bullshit.

Yeah, but those were genuine efforts to sway voters. While I think they'd like it if she could sway a substantial amount, that would just make it easier to rig the election for them.

This is a smokescreen in the end; when they rig it and everyone's like "wtf how did Biden, an objectively worse president NOBODY likes, win again", they'll point at their scapegoat. That's why there's articles asking "will Swift sway votes" everywhere, because whether she does or not, that's going to be one of the cited reasons we're stuck with Weekend at Bernie's Biden's again.
