lmao I traveled to Jersey to go to the Giants game this past weekend.

And I'm heartsick over how the organization let Saquon Barkley go. I cannot fathom the stupidity of throwing money at Daniel Jones and then pinching pennies for literally their best player ... Only to lose him to a division rival. You know, if Barkley ends up at the Super Bowl and wins with the Eagles, then I'm honestly going to be more happy for Barkley than I will be pissed about the Eagles winning another Super Bowl.

Jones has literally only accomplished the bare minimum. He had an OK year in 2022, made it to the playoffs, and won ONE playoff game against literally the bottom ranked defense of that season (Vikings). I was practically cursing at the tv the day after that playoff game when I saw that the Giants signed that ridiculous contract with him.

I've never been a fan of Daniel Jones. I never saw what was so great about him, and I kept telling people to STFU when they were calling him "Danny Dimes." I'm pissed that he sucks so bad, but I also feel quite vindicated over seeing the fans and the media finally turning on him completely after yesterday. It was hilarious to see fellow fans heckling him for basically the entire second half of the game.
I'm putting 100% of the blame on Daboll. That was one of the worst called games I have ever seen. The team looked defeated at kickoff and never tried. I'm ready to clean house now.

Mara was right, Daboll quickly went from Bono to Bozo.

Wasn't that more due to the defense the footfag HC put together?
If memory serves me correctly, Sanchez had a pretty good rookie year and was a mixed bag in the following year (didn't he recover from an injury or something?). Even in that mixed bag of a season, he still delivered some impressive games.

In my opinion, Sanchez was "pretty good/decent" in his earliest years. Not saying the defense played no part in the Jets' success in those seasons ... Just saying that the team definitely felt more complete back then.

And the less said about Rex Ryan the better, lol. I can't stand that guy.

Honestly, I'm not quite ready to call it quits on Daboll yet (though I will say it looks bad on his part when the defensive coordinator quit mid-season last year). I do think he's gone after this year, though. He's going to get the boot before Jones does.

For me, i's hard to criticize any play calling when the team literally can't even execute a play to save their life. i find myself going back and forth on thinking whether it's the coaching, or whether it's the lack of talent from the players.

The saddest part of yesterday's game for me, by far, was the fact that the Giants celebrated their centennial. The Halftime Show celebrated the team's top 100 players of all time, and so many of them showed up for the ceremony (that in of itself was awesome to see in person). Yesterday actually meant something for the franchise, the team, and the fans ... And there wasn't even a spark coming from the team yesterday. They didn't even look like they tried, especially the offense.

True, I still criticize it since he refused to push the ball down the field and he is the head coach. If just Jones played bad, he could get the blame but every single player (maybe not Sexy Dexy) played horrible and made washed up Sam Darnold look like an elite QB when we know he is not.

I also flew in for the game, so I understand your pain as well. I even went to the Friday Fan Fest since its such a special celebration. I think this game might have sealed Dabolls fate. Mara hates getting embarrassed like this and quite frankly, Daboll isn't doing himself any favors.

I was at the Fan Event on Friday, too!

It made the weekend worth it in spite of the really shitty game on Sunday. The event was pretty awesome and felt special.

Did you also go to the 5K? I thought about it but didn't want to pay for it.

That's what made the game worse in my opinion. It was supposed to be special but they couldn't even lose with grace. I loved the new jersey and midfield logo. The celebration of the team was great. It was nice to go down memory lane with my family.

How convenient that another person has stepped up to sue Watson for sexual assault right when the Browns now know how dogshit he is and they need to move off of that horrendous contract. I don't remember if this new lawsuit would allow the Browns to easily get out of his contract but if it does, then it's very convenient

From everything I've read there is no way they'll be off the hook for paying him as written in the contract. If they were to cut him now, it would be 200 million in dead cap space.

Didn't do the 5k ... I am currently way too pregnant for that, lol. I wouldn't have had the stamina for it. That said, it sounded really cool!

And, yeah, the celebrations made the game on Sunday feel worse because it was such a meaningful weekend. Fortunately, though, the game did not spoil the celebrations for me. Lots of good memories and fun times still happened for my family and I this past weekend. :)

GUARANTEED means GUARANTEED

Like

The Browns are GUARANTEED to be retards

But I'm sure there's a general morals clause somewhere in Watson's contract with them

They gave up a likeable, and now seemingly serviceable, if not even maybe possibly good Baker Mayfield, just let him walk, so they could hire a 2 dozen times accused pervert for a quarter billion.

Browns deserve another 60 years of futility, Browns fans don't deserve that, but the organization definitely does.

I root for Mayfield for this reason. He was their first QB in decades who brought them legitimacy and gave the city a playoff blowout win over a hated rival. Haslam is a shit owner who deserves this shit QB who they can't get rid of.

I have tons of respect for Baker Mayfield.

You can just tell he put up with a lot of shit from the Browns Organization.

I would kill to have Mayfield as my QB right now. He's underrated.

I never made any assumptions on what was going to happen on Sunday, but god damn was that embarrassing. The lack of pre season reps was showing big time. At this point, Deshaun is a lost cause. He will never be an elite QB again and now that there's a new sexual assault allegation, he'll probably get suspended for the majority or for the rest of the season. Our defense was doing great after the 1st quarter, but the offense kept committing dumb penalties and miscues. Just fucking bench Watson and put in Winston. I'd rather see Watson ride the bench for 200 million than the dogshit performance he gave.

As gross as it is, I think letting Watson ride the bench might be the Browns only option. If they cut him now its a 200 million cap hit. They'd have to let literally everyone go to pay for it.

Let him ride the bench for years and it's still financially bad but not fire everyone now bad.

Still utterly demoralizing for a team and a fanbase. This predator fucked an entire franchise.

Could have just let it ride with Mayfield for probably on the cheap and they... went with this monster N person.

After watching Cleveland shit their pants in front of everyone on Sunday, I was thinking to myself, "You know, what the Browns really need right now is a distraction, just a good, old-fashioned Johnny Manziel-style media circus." Lo and behold, Massage Watson delivers. If only he could deliver passes into the hands of his receivers this reliably.

The fact that these retarded niggers want Ohio taxpayers to put up $600 million for a new stadium for them to fill with sadness and failure is outrageous to me. Part of me has to admire their audacity, but most of me wants to see their entire front office run out of the state on a rail.

Regardless of any specific language in his contract, you don't need to pay guaranteed money to players if they're in jail.

Cleveland PD working overtime researching the legalities surrounding entrapment.
Yes you do have to pay guaranteed money to someone sitting in jail, unless the contract says you don't. If it says you do, or doesn't specifically address it... I mean it's the Browns, so who knows. Being a little facetious there, I'm pretty sure there's the standard language regarding that kind of stuff, meaning they wouldn't if Watson ends up arrested on serious charges, but again it's the Browns
