It really is incredible how the minute the rest of the league figured out they have to play deep zone coverage against the Dolphins, Mike McDaniel got totally found out and all the zoomies Hill and Waddle can provide meant absolutely nothing.
I have no real opinion on the whether Tua should retire hot take that has taken over sports media, because ultimately that's his decision, but damn.

I love seeing people like Mike McDaniel fail. That pseudo-intellectual Colin Cowherd does nothing but suck on the nuts of offensive coaches and how defensive coaches are terrible. Offensive Mastermind Mike McDaniel couldn't do shit against the "shitty" defensive minded Sean McDermott at home.

If there is anything that is PROVEN time and time again, its that a world class defense can drag a mediocre to shitty offense to a Super Bowl, (Bears, I'm looking at you), and even win (Ravens on several occasions, Patriots on a few of their runs).

So who do the Dolphins reach out to? Tannehill again?
What is Joe Flaco up to r/n?

Well McCaffrey is out this week too and maybe more. Hufanga also probably out this week. Thank god our schedule starts easy.

You had that o-line opening up gaps 5 yards wide on Monday, the literal millisecond he gets healthy the Niners are going to be a menace to the rest of us.
I am hopeful that it takes until week 7 just so you don't eviscerate my Seahawks but it's going to be a close shave

It does suck that Hufanga is having issues, division rivalry aside he's probably my favorite breakout safety as of late. TBH that's the problem with like 90% of your roster, if they didn't wear red and gold I'd cheer them on in an instant.

Is this gonna be another season where half the league's starting QBs are out for half the year? I swear to god if Hurts goes down and I have to watch Kenny Picksixitt bumble around for even a couple games, I might kill myself.

Edit: I'll 100% pretend like I always liked him if he has a Foles level Linsanity run though. #BigDickettPickett

They should get a guy who can win playoff games

Dan Campbell is everything Mike McDaniels wishes he was, and more. CutPaste_2024-09-13_19-05-50-991.jpg

Probably. Combined with a lot of the usual suspects you'd like to replace your QB either 1. retiring or 2. starting (wtf Raiders) or 3. backing up an injury-prone QB so the team isn't gonna let them go.

We might legit see someone kick the tires on Trey Lance this season.

He's the only sub-in that I could see actually getting a starter job if he gets a chance to prove himself this year, in Dallas or wherever Jerry is able to extract a king's ransom for him from. Who else is even halfway decent enough to be worth trading a 5th or 6th rounder for, that most teams aren't just gonna hoard out of an abundance of caution for a repeat of last year? Dobbs? Garapollo? Indiana is gonna be guarding Flacco with their life this year so I don't see him getting traded unless another team is desperate enough to sell the farm to the Colts.

And give Minshew the credit he's due, the perfectly adequate (not great) backup that's finally being given a chance to prove he's at least a suitable bridge QB for a franchise in rebuild mode.

Tua Turn-the-ball-ova has been living up to his name tonight
His brother ended up in the CFL. Thought he was a big stud too.
and that retarded ass theme they made for thursday night football.
It was like a Samurai Jack intro
I mean Tua getting concussed wasn't very surprising. Once you get a bad one, its even easier to get more of them.
And no one considers how many they had growing up.

lowkey I think that now that, between the general talent level of pocket passing QBs declining and DCs adjusting to the new rules, we're going back to the 90's/early 2000's where the RB was the star offensive player for most teams.

Lamar winning MVP seems appropriate then.

FR tho, just in time for players like CMC and Saquon to actually get a shot at earning an MVP nod.
