Bryce was getting better this time last year too. So maybe Carolina puts someone in for the first half of the season, then lets Bryce take over in November/December.

While I do agree he hasn't shown much in terms of playoffs besides winning the Super Bowl that one year, it is quite an impressive feat to have no losing season basically. Even this is impressive with how shit the quarterback play was with Kenny Picket.Tomlin is the greatest NFL Grifter/Coach of all time. 18 years of mid seasons and only one ring to show for it.
He's basically a talented Mike McCarthy, lmao.
When he does retire and makes it first ballot HOF as a coach, I can't even be mad about it, due that ridiculous stat alone. While I do agree he hasn't shown much in terms of playoffs besides winning the Super Bowl that one year, it is quite an impressive feat to have no losing season basically. He caught a break this year with the winning record and possibly winning the AFC North if the Ravens don't get their shit together. Tomlin is very lucky that Russell Wilson and Justin Fields both played very good ball or else he would've been fired this year. It was a Hail Mary year acquiring both of them and seeing if they could do something with the Pittsburgh offense. Knowing the Steelers though, they won't make it past the divisional round. When he does retire and makes it first ballot HOF as a coach, I can't even be mad about it, due that ridiculous stat alone.
He's mid as fuck, but he's genuinely earned his trip.
Realistically a Mahomes Threepeat means they can argue against Brady for GOAT. The media is desperate to unseat the Whitest Man of all time!Another thing to take into account is that Mahomes is mixed race, and for as long as I can remember, the sports media has had this odd obsession/vested interest with black QBs being successful in the league. And with Mahomes being the most successful black/mixed race QB the league has ever had, you can understand why he's a media darling.
The NFL has commercials proudly ammouncing they've spent $500M on SJW causes, $73M for veterans btw. They've been fully pozzed for years now. The past year or two have been them morphing into an extension of sportsbetting. Goodell has gotten the the money the owners always dreamed of and destroyed the sport of our youth. If you don't want to read a mini rant bitching about the NFL and it's periphery, please ignore, lol.
I hadn't watched a full NFL game since the 2014/2015 SuperBowl. I just sort of gave up on the sport. Since then I've probably watched about an hour of NFL content total, until tonight.
I thought I'd watch some of the ESPN pregame shit and the game. WTF happened to these pregame shows?!? There was an even breakdown of women and blacks, and a couple of shifty-looking jews for good measure, lol. I can see women panel hosts, they're obviously there to snag the horny male demographic (which since this is the NFL, seems like it's redundant)...but women analysts? Since when did women give enough of a shit about football to analyze the game? Fucking retarded.
When did the NFL abandon the traditional positional numbering system? Have they gone the college route? it looks dumb to these old, jaded eyes.
Beyond that, not much springs to mind. I miss the days when the NFL didn't pretend to give a shit about concussions.
Funny you say that, as my oldest son and I were talking about this shit, and he mentioned the same thing. He also said that's the angle they are using to try to get someone...anyone to watch women's sports (the WNBA especially). It's a damn shame. I got my fill of the current NFL last night. It might be another 9/10 years before I watch again for any significant amount of time. The NFL has commercials proudly ammouncing they've spent $500M on SJW causes, $73M for veterans btw. I've long maintained that the massive boost in viewership and interest in the NFL coincided with the early 90's "NFL packages" satellite TV offered, which allowed degen gamblers to follow the sport more closely than they'd otherwise be able to do. That and the NFL started its big push behind "fantasy football" which was also all about gambling, although, at the time, the NFL was still officially distancing themselves from any gambling talk. It's slowly escalated ever since. I don't believe the sport would be nearly as popular if not for this, especially these days with the watered-down product they currently serve up. Too many teams and they've eliminated most of the violence from the game."Gambling is terrible. Wait, we can make how much money off of sports betting?"

They're setting the stage for the next addiction epidemic. I never paid much attention to gambling addiction until the BossmanJack thread because it was the realm of geriatric slot jockeys and criminal bookies. Now it's everywhere, shoved in your face a dozen or more times during any game of any league. People who have previously had no interest in sports, often in demographics these leagues want to reach, are now caring about sports because of gambling. Fantasy and other gambling related activities are growing more and more popular in states where straight up sports betting is not allowed.
It's only going to get worse.

That's pretty much the entirety of ESPN programming now. Niggers and women, mostly nigger women with the most insipid hip hop driven commentary. It's more like BETESPNThere was an even breakdown of women and blacks,
Pretty much just betting and debate shows all day. As much as the Rasslinbros don't like him, Pat McAfee's Show is the one reason people really care about ESPN.That's pretty much the entirety of ESPN programming now. Probably an unpopular opinion but I'm honestly not a fan of college ball simply because the caliber of play isn't there compared to the NFL. College defenses are ass, the vast majority of players are not good enough to become NFL prospects, etc. Nothing pains me more than watching bad football. I pay a little attention just to follow draft classes but that's about it.
Either way, hope the Bears crush the Lions today. They won't, but I wish they do.
