Because you really thought Dan Quinn and Kliff "Thailand Lady Boy Enjoyer" Kingsbury would turn the Commanders around. They are obviously capable but it was that faggot Snyder being exorcised that made the difference. Virginia McCaskey and Woody Johnson can flirt with their new toys but nothing is going to change until they do.
Same with the Lions. Its still in the Ford family but its now being run by Martha's daughter Shiela Hamp-Ford after Martha decided to step down in 2020. In all fairness we honestly lucked out because we could have ended up in the same situation the Bears are in now.

People dont realize often times why CEOs/other executive officers/leaders of companies make so much but its because they are infinitely disposable, (theres no shortage of business majors coming out of Harvard) and any ripple they make gets amplified into tidal waves wether good or bad, they are the single person who exerts the most control over a company. Their actions attitude and practices set the tone and guide the rest of the staff in informing how their job is to be done. And honestly I can think of no better example of this than the Bears and Lions. If you take the possibility of being fired away from the equation you can clearly see why executive officers are so highly valued. If you find a good one (or hit the Jackpot in that the NepoBaby isnt completely retarded and can actually run a football team) like the Lions the excellence trickles down and infuses life and energy into the very bricks of the foundation of the building, and excellence springs forth.

The Bears won't be good, and they never will be good as long as Virginia McCaskey owns that team. Or as long as she's too blinded by nepotism and ego to do what needs to be done. I bet you that Indian guy whoshe hired for analytics woo'd her with some fake sob story about how he used to watch bears in india as a kid or some shit like that and thats how he got the job.

As a neutral, I'm not so sure you should sell their chances short like that. The Eagles haven't really looked great in either playoff showing and Washington looks like they have the hot hand. You've already split with them in the regular season.

Ask the Lions whether it's better to be good or hot in the playoffs.

I just don’t know what our plan is to deal with Saqoun Barkley. Our run defense fucking blow. I am almost certain it will be a high scoring game.

Not holding my breath. Extremely happy with how the season went and honestly I couldn’t ask for more. Nothing to lose, everything to gain.

They still have Nick Sirianni as their head coach. You have a chance.

Its either going to end up 45-42 Commies win, or 42-17 Eagles win. Saquan going to put up atleast 200, wouldn't surprise me if he hit 400 total yards. Commies D is really really bad, and Eagles have Pro Bowlers all up and down their roster.

But theyre still the Eagles, they'll shit the bed multiple times.

Shiela Hamp-Ford
Lucked the fuck out with Shiela at the helm of the Lions, had a slight stumble with keeping Patricia but wasn't fully in control yet, and corrected that problem as soon as she took over. Then hit that mother fucker outta the park with getting GM Brad Holmes and Campbell. Granted we will see how Campbell and Holmes go out and try and correct for next season, but she did what was needed to massively corrected the franchise.

Have no idea if he'll actually be any good, but the Ben Johnson seethe was fun.

The Jets have hired Aaron Glen, and the Bears hired Ben Johnson. I can't believe they both went to 2 of possibly the WORST ownership groups in the league. From a Nepotistic proto-girlboss Virginia McCaskey to Woody Johnson and his son Brick. They BOTH have uphill battles, I wish them both the best. At least the Lions Get a 3rd for losing Glenn.

Lets not forget until last year the only rival for the Lion in terms of incompetency has been the Browns.

I can get the allure of a young dynamic QB for Ben Johnson, but is Aaron Glenn trying to be the next one and done black head coach? Holy shit. He better be charging Woody double what the next best offer was. An extra mil or two is not worth that eternally burning Jersey trash fire.

Maybe he'll punch Brick in the face the first time he was up to Aaron and goes "My nigga."

I'm clarly not having the same mindset as they are but to be honest if I was either of them I don't even entertain the idea of moving away from the Lions, especially not this year. Yeah you won't be a head coach, but on the other hand, everyone is gonna love you for a few more years because the Lions are finally good again, and you're in a golden chance to get a ring either with Goff or someone else. Sheila should have broken the bank to try and keep them.

I’m pretty sure Glen and Johnson just took interviews during the bye and stopped caring. Just resigned themselves that the defense was too banged up to win a Super Bowl.

I’m honestly not blaming Goff for two of his turn overs. The one in the end zone where Jamo doesn’t even try to tackle after and the fumble are not his fault. The one to Patrick and the end of the game are on him, but it felt like Ben Johnson just wanted material when going for job offers. The fumble was the play that felt the most retarded. Why the fuck are you not running on 3rd and 1 in the red zone? You have Gibbs.

Edit: I actually did talk to someone who gets his haircut with a practice squad guy. Both Glen and Johnson had one foot out the door according to them. Just had little confidence in the team.

Pete Carroll going to the Raiders as their HC is such a nowhere hire. His name wasn't mentioned anywhere as being a candidate. My guess is he's there to rebuild the culture
