This has gotta be the trade I'm most conflicted about because on the one hand, yeah, even though I like the guy and his redemption arc, he's not good enough to lead a team to the Super Bowl, it's just how he is. On the other hand though... who's QB then? Sam Darnold? God I hope not. Howell? Not looking like a lot of wins here.
Coach and GM want to go through a lightning-quick full rebuild while they still have hot talent on rookie contracts instead of falling into the same nightmare the Saints are in right now with a cap crunch and middling QB.
My best guess is that they're trying to tank next season so that they get the pick of the litter for the '26 QB class that's apparently supposed to be stocked all the way up with talents. You don't wanna go 9-8 and then have to trade K9 or JSN or whoever else just to move up enough to snag what, 3rd overall if they're lucky?
The question is, does Schneider and Co. survive a 2-15 season to get that #1? And what if, god forbid, they can't tank properly and they're in that same mid kerfuffle once again? If it works out, it's definitely worth it. Just look at Jayden Daniels and the Commies.

Beware the siren call of the tank. Tanking in the NFL is doesn't really happen like other sports. Owners can tank. GMs can tank if they get a greenlight from ownership. Players and coaches need to win to get paid. There are more players on the field at one time than other sports. There are a lot more players on the roster than other sports. The NFL is the most team sport there is. It's much harder to rig. It's why every season there are a couple shit teams looking at a top pick who win a game or two extra and fanbases get on social media screaming about draft order.

You do see teams give up, see the Eagles 2023 collapse, but that's generally because something is fucked in the organization. It's not because they're because they're trying to tank.

Go look at the history of top 10 drafters for the last 5-10 years. Disregard trade ups and you'll see the same poorly run organizations year after year after year. You can look at the Commies and the Texans as examples for quick turn arounds, but they didn't have a season or two tank then turn it around. They were long term dumpster fires that got the right coaches and QBs in there to jumpstart a resurgence. "We're tanking to get our new QB," is a common cope for a fanbase that's losing. Is the team setup to win once they get that QB? How is the cap situation? Do the coaching staffs have what it takes? I literally have no idea in the case of Seattle.

Xavier Worthy arrested on assault charges.

It was for impeding breathing or circulation of a family or household member. My guess is he choked out his baby momma, who's currently pregnant with their first child. A proud Chief's tradition following in Reek's footsteps! I guess being a wifebeater is one of the requirements to be KC's speedout.

Theres no way Aaron Rodgers to the Vikings is ACTUALLY going to happen right? The NFL isnt completely 100% scripted and is reusing old scripts because they lost all their writers in the last writers strike because they wanted to start using A.I. right?

Im not schizophrenic, right? I feel like the NFL is making me schizophrenic.

Rodgers to Minnesota sounds like Rapoport reaching, if only because at some point this season the Vikings are going to want to begin seeing what they have in JJ McCarthy, and Jones has seemingly accepted his role as spot starter/clipboard holder, while Aaron wants to be the undisputed starter.
And the NFL can't be that scripted, considering the Seahawks haven't blown up a roster this hard in an offseason in the entire time I've been a fan, certainly not over the course of three fucking days.

Exactly, the only reason I can think of the Vikings would need Rogers for is if JJ still isnt 100% at the beginning of the year for some reason but I haven't heard any indication he wont be 100% physically ready to start come kickoff next season. But reportedly he's expected to be cleared for spring practice and its been more than 6 months since his meniscus surgery he should surely be fully healed by now.

Am I crazy or are wide receivers hugely overrepresented as far as arrests go?

Probably because the position attracts the most unstable people. There is a reason why wide receivers have become stereotyped as divas. Every story I have heard from professional players always reveal that it is wide receivers who are always the one starting fights in the locker room and causing drama within the team.

The sport attracts idiots and lowlifes to play it, but there is specifically something about the wide receiver position that amplifies that by ten.

Makes sense when the odds of touches are stacked against them individually. QB touches almost every play, RBs get upwards of 20 due to possible split with another RB, WRs have to divvy it up between usually 2 other WRs and a TE
 
Turns out backing up the Brinks truck for Myles Garrett was enough to get him to rescind the trade request.
$40 million a year for an edge rusher, Cowboys are screwed again for dilly-dallying on another player's extension with Micah Parsons, and Bengals fans can kiss Trey Hendrickson goodbye for sure now because ain't no way Mike Brown's forking over anywhere near that much money.

Amazing how all of 4 years ago the Browns looked like they had their QB of the future, had just beat the Steelers in the playoffs, and were surrounded by hype in the media. And, from the outside looking in, it looks like all it took was one jumpy owner panicking after the slightest of locker room instability to shoot the team in its collective dick and drive them back into organizational chaos and having to pay a premium to retain any talent.

I want to manifest this into existence just to see the puzzlement on future fan's faces when I explain to them that the same man who fired Stefanski 2 years after winning 2 coach of the year awards in 4 seasons, the second one with a turnstile of backups at QB, also tried to keep Hue Jackson around for a third season after going 1-31 to start his tenure.
