Micah Parsons and Jerry Jones basically inflated the cost of a Defensive End. I like Hutch and he has the hometown appeal, but shit of that is not a lot of fucking money.
This isn't the fault of Jerry Jones and Micah Parsons. Defensive ends have steadily been becoming the highest paid non-QBs over the last few years. They just happened to see another huge jump last offseason. It is a byproduct of the NFL rule changes specifically favoring QBs and the passing game. Naturally by proxy the pass rusher became the most important defensive position because that is the position that is going to have the best chance to disrupt a pass play.Micah Parsons and Jerry Jones basically inflated the cost of a Defensive End. I think Jerry can still be blamed for handling the negotiations with Micah/Micah's agent as he didThis isn't the fault of Jerry Jones and Micah Parsons. We've been thinking this after every Dolphins game except last week, Ross must be on one hell of a coke binge and not paying attention right now.Mike McDaniel to be scheduled for execution tomorrow, Jon Gruden will be doing the commentary.
"Look at the way that guillotine goes through his throat like opposing RBs on this Dolphins defense. That makes me feel nicey".Jon Gruden will be doing the commentary.
I'm pretty convinced Grier has something on him even outside of the Flores lawsuitWe've been thinking this after every Dolphins game except last week, Ross must be on one hell of a coke binge and not paying attention right now.
Holy shit, things might actually change in Miami, I'm floored.
My honest bet right now is DEs like Chubb and Hendrickson going to contenders on cheap contracts (relatively) and then getting signed in the off season to a team that’ll pay them a better contract like Z’Darius Smith.Holy shit, things might actually change in Miami, I'm floored.
Time to see how mercenary the new GM is when it comes to overhauling that roster. Do you blow the team up at the trade deadline? Jalen Philips is worth a fair bit, so may be Chubb, but I'd get rid of Judon, who's more clearly nearing his end, instead of those two. What contending team is so needy in the secondary that they'd trade for Minkah?
Really interested to see if they pull a Broncos and just eat the $80 million dead cap or so to offload Tua after this season.
I would stick with McDaniels. I don't think there is anyone on the coaching staff that is worth giving the tryout to. Darrell Bevell sucks and I don't see them going with an outsider like Jeff Saturday. Just tank with tua then cut him and fire McDaniels. It sucks but you have to start preparing for next season. If you're the Dolphins, do you bother getting rid of McDaniel now that Grier is gone? An interim coach won't change anything, unless of course McDaniel has lost the locker room then it has to happen regardless. The Dolphins should get as much trade value from what they have, let McDaniel suffer through the rest of the season, secure a top 5 draft pick and start completely fresh.
That's the thing, what words have been heard from that locker room about McDaniel? If you're the Dolphins, do you bother getting rid of McDaniel now that Grier is gone?
