Campbell is a defensive minded coach. Makes you wonder...
It's funny that people think Campbell somes from simply because he's physically imposing, and advocates for toughness and aggression. All this while the young hip offensive mind is personified by guy like Mike McDaniel. Offense bros have a serious image problem.

He’s play called some games before. The first season with the Lions he did some, I believe he did during his tenure in Miami, and with Ben Johnson he did a bit.

With Miami, kinda yeah. But im not much of a fan of Campbell since well... lol.

Late and gay I know: but LSU getting steam rolled was funny as fuck. But man, this shot had to hurt.

I can see them resorting to the stereotypes, Campbell has a pretty unusual path to HC for the league. Never a coordinator, never really any more than a position coach (TE, naturally), before he was made interim HC in Miami pre-Gase and then went to hang with Sean Payton as assistant HC on the Saints.

Ugh, the Bills were the only AFC East team to lose this week. Sure, I wanted the Jets to win because I thought it would be hilarious, but I was hoping the Pats and Dolphins would lose. The Bills need to get their shit together like they did after their bye in 2023.

I’ll probably post this in the politics thread, but god Redditors are faggots. I’m actually not sure if it’s a troll because I’ve met people irl like this and Reddit seems to select those types.

Trump was actually okay as a commentator. I would take him over Chris Collinsworth 10/10. I’m also going to start spreading the rumor that he fucked Jayden Daniels’s mom like Tom Brady did.

The media lives off of narratives. One of the current narratives is the egghead analytics based offensive guru. The front office got a bunch of Ivy League guys to sit in a cave and decides what important to an offense so the new HC can beautiful mind up a bunch of plays around these concepts. While that has been true to a lesser or greater extent in some places, it's far from the whole story. I don't listen to the sports MSM much, but I rarely hear about analytics applied to defense or special teams. I think in most fans mind analytics are the thing that dictates whether an HC goes on 4th down or not.

Vic Fangio has the reputation for being an old school coach, doesn't do analytics, couldn't connect with players in Miami, etc. A reporter brought up analytics in a press conference question almost in passing about he's old school and doesn't believe in them and he redirected his answer to address the assumption:

It's a much wider topic than Sunday fans realize or talking heads will explain.

I did a quick glance at his post history and I'm seeing video game subreddits and a dislike for blue collar workers. He posts about tranny and racism shit in some cartoon subreddit, then writes a diatriabe about blocking a guy for his own good. It sounds like he's serious.

I'll take Amon-Ra St. Brown over Antonio Brown any day. At least Amon-Ra won't strip and flounce midgame.
I’ll take Amon-Ra because he seems genuinely mild mannered most of the time and does indeed “run this shit, nigga.”

Jamo is unironically pretty simple. Nothing against him, but you watch an interview and hope to God he finds a wonderful Jew fiduciary and woman who won’t divorce rape him.

Screens average more EPA than runs so guess why you're seeing five million failed screens every season.

Analytics don't really work with football. There's not enough data points because they play way fewer games than baseball or basketball and there's much more variance.

I’d argue that analytics just don’t work in Football, solely off of the sheer number of moving parts in any given play.

Baseball? Analytics are King, because of how few things outside the players control influence any given statistic. Shit, the recurring joke is that Baseball fans are either stats autists or drunk for a reason.

Basketball? They’re not as solid owing to there being more moving parts on the court, but you can make it work. Hockey? Total crapshoot, owing to there being more moving parts and the ability to beat the shit out of each other making it still a more physical game.

Football though? You have more moving parts on the field at any given time than the other sports, and the game is largely out of your control unless you’re the QB so trying to figure out Hard Stats is an exercise in futility, and that’s before factoring in physicality, refball, or the fact some QB’s are just shit and tanking the stats of everyone around them.

You've got to have a crazy level of mental illness to watch a guy do a meme dance and deduce the black man born and raised in California is a staunch maga republican.

He is half-German and like I said in the politics thread. He is spiritually Null’s player (because the mush mouth German Null speaks when I tune into the podcast every so often).

I woud love nothing more to see Robert Saleh become the new head coach with Mike McDaniel as the new offensive coordinator. Or even see if Lane Kiffin is interested in returning to the NFL.

In reality I foresee Matt Eberflus being hired.
No shot. This is a bit too early to doom, even for me. Eberflus was an embarrassment in Chicago and is running one of the worst defenses in the NFL.

Feels strange to get rid of Daboll now. The Giants were finally looking like a real team with Dart starting. I'm guessing the front office/owners already knew they weren't going to bring back Daboll next year and want to see what they have in Kafka. If he stinks, too, at least they'll know and can start from scratch.

Brian Daboll has been fired. Mike Kafka is the interim Head Coach.
I'm sure having a rotating cast of coaches will be great for Dart and the offense's development.

Null's player is L'Jarius Sneed
