Niners just ran the ball 80 yards for a TD on their first play. Looks like they remembered who they are and what they do for a living, injuries be damned.

The fucking fake crowd noise is still drowning out the announcers, though. You'd think they'd be better at this on the second week…

Update: Nobody else watching anything today?

SF is up 21-3 at the half, and I've lost count on how many times they've had to cut away to commercial early so they could cart the remains of a player off the field. They keep showing Garoppolo limping around after his plays. I say they should let him heal up already and see what their back-up QB can do at this point. They're tempting fate the more they keep him on the field.

I'm watching Steelers-Broncos and 3 of their offensive players got injured. Lock is out with a right-shoulder injury and their WR Jeudy is probable with a rib injury and Sutton just got injured.

EDIT: And there goes Garoppolo

Yeah, hopefully Garoppolo can heal up soon. His second-stringer was kinda goofy at first but then fell into his rhythm and played well enough to keep keep victory out of the Jets' hands.

In the Cowboys/Falcons game, the Cowboys were down by two after a touchdown and tried an onside kick - and pulled it off. I can't remember the last time I saw a successful one. They turned it into a field goal on the last play of the game. The Falcons had gone for two earlier in the game and didn't get it; if they just took the kick it would have just been a tie. Oof. Heck of an end to a game.

In Chargers/Chiefs, the Chiefs tried to kick a PAT after a touchdown, but had a penalty that pushed them back. On the rekick, a Chargers defender deflected the kick. They're now down 6 to 14. That might have been a fateful penalty.

I'm being reminded why I love to watch this game. Anything can happen.

Well, my Tyrod Taylor hopes and dreams died as they already have Justin Herbert starting against the Chiefs today. He's looked pretty good so far, so good luck to him and hopefully an Oregon QB finally ends up amounting to something. I still blame Detroit for ruining Joey Harrington. Maybe if they drafted O-line instead of WRs he might have had a chance.

And now Baltimore is just bullying the Texans during the 2nd quarter.

That was a complete and total fuck up by Atlanta. I get that you don't want to be the guy who touches the ball before it goes ten yards and somehow the kicking team recovers, but at the same time, you can't just surround the ball and wait for it to go ten yards and let the kicking team recover anyway.

So, will Matt Patricia's fat ass be fired this year or is the Ford Family still got their head in the dirt? Because last Sunday's post game presser was incredible.
Just for comparison.
Hue Jackson's record: 3-36-1
Matt Patricia's record: 9-23-1
Maybe the Packers dropping 50 on them next time will be what ends the suffering.
I say this as a Packer fan but the Lions honestly should have stuck with Jim Caldwell...Or even Jim Schwartz would be better at this point.
The 2014 Lions were honest to God good.
The 2016 and 2011 Lions were at least passable.
But alas the Ford's are like so many others chasing the sirern song of Belichick assistants.
Bill O'Brien exists only to torment Deshaun Watson and we've been over why Arians is a fraud already.
You'd think the league would have learned by now that Belichick disciples never work out.

What the hell is this Chiefs game? These dudes are actually getting ass-fucked by the Chargers. Fucking hell man.

Even if they pull out a W here, I'm still disgusted by this.

I'm predicting Mahomes and Watkins are going to connect on a long TD to end the dream for the Chargers here.

Their run defense has looked horrible all game.

Edit: Bad penalties on that last drive, but Patrick "Lamar Jackson" Mahomes got them to OT.

I'm pretty sure Matt Patricia's team has more talent than the team Hue inherited in Cleveland too.

Fuckers almost cost me in survivor.

I agree with the Caldwell sentiments. I laughed when the hired Patricia with no cred.

What a game! The last play was head-scratching. I thought they were going to do a Newton run, but have the WR's spread out so as to spread out the defense and open up the run lanes for Newton.

Life sucks as a Vikings fan. $13M for a RB that is trying to run behind a swiss cheese O-line. QB getting no time to throw. How is it this crazy to know the O-Line is the pinnacle of success?
