Stafford is apparently heading to the Rams for Goff, two future 1st round picks and a 3rd round pick.

I actually do like the move. For Stafford, he gets to go to a team with a good head coach, with good pieces around him, and he's the first Lions player with any sort of good talent to escape the clutches of Detroit. I know he's known as Statpadford and isn't someone you'd call elite, but I'm eager to see what he can do outside of Detroit.

As for the Lions.......well, at least they know that they're a dumpster fire and they got several draft picks for him. I know people will say that the Rams got shafted by Detroit, but it was the price they had to pay to get rid of that massive contract Goff had so now Detroit has to pay Goff and is free from the Rams books.

As this point, with Wentz getting benched and Goff out of LA, it's fair to say that they're both on the route to being seen as busts, though not like Jamarcus Russell bust level but rather like a Sam Bradford or any other high-round underachiever. I think Goff is a mediocre QB who needs a lot of things to go right for him to succeed while with Wentz he has shown the ability to be good, but it's like everything about him has become shot that there's no reason to have faith in him.

Goff was their last first round pick interestingly enough.

I was about to make fun of the trade as the ESPN headline didn't mentions picks, so I thought this did this as a straight trade of QB for QB. I'm very happy that Goff is coming to the NFC North. Goff will be terrible without McVay as McVay was in his ear, until comms have to be shut off, telling him what play to run and what to look out for like he was some proxy QB.

Really wish they would've traded him outta the NFC though. NFC West was already a bloodbath this year, and now next year it looks to be amplified. 9er's will have their defense back from injuries and now the Rams have a legit stellar QB.

Damn, if Kingsbury can get it together in AZ, the Seahawks may very well go from division champs to the basement in the span of 1 year. NFC West is absolutely brutal.

YouTube is continuing to recommend these shitty Madden videos to me. Often I have to watch them at least twice to figure out what exactly the game is trying to do because it makes no goddamn sense.

As a developer myself, my mind boggles how you'd implement logic so poorly that it could make this mistake. What a piece of shit. Shame on EA for shipping this and shame on anyone who bought it and didn't get a refund.

EDIT: Also, in case you didn't notice, the jannies have updated the poll in the OP.

There's another clip where the guy gets his pass intercepted in the end zone and it counts it as a touchdown anyway. The game is a fucking mess.

As you said in another post, this is what happens when you allow only 1 company to make the ONLY NFL game on the market. There's no competition, no drive, nothing to make it better since regardless of quality, if you want to play football, then this is the only one available unless you don't mind playing with non-existent teams or made-up players. It's as if they just (and it probably holds true) copy and paste whatever code from the last game and rerelease it with updated rosters and story mode.

Though I still buy Madden, for the past several years, I've been buying the ones from the previous year as you can get a used copy at retro stores for like $25 and not have to pay the full $60 (soon to be $70) for a broken ass game

I sucks that Covid is probably going to make this Owl one of the least profitable in history because this is one of the better Past vs Future standoffs we've seen in forever. Also, there's positives regardless of who wins.

If the Chiefs win, it cements Mahomes as next great QB face of the league, pulls Kansas City out of their age of mediocrity and makes the AFC look way more interesting with its combination of young competitive teams and former lolcows like the Bills and Dolphins slowly getting a grip.

If the Bucs win, it proves Brady is the GOAT who didn't need Belichek to be successful, helps Tampa soothe the pain of the Rays' choke and finally gives Bruce Arians a 3rd ring which he probably deserves after spending a good chunk of his career trying to get a dysfunctional Cardinals team to produce.

Either way, Le'veon Bell or Antonio Brown end up getting a ring and thus lets us laugh at the Steelers some more, which is always fun.

Oh don't worry, he's already proven that decisively. Let's recap this season for Belichick without Tom:
- Goes 7-9, first losing record since 2000.
- Loses the AFC East for the first time since 2008 (when Tom tore his ACL).
- Doesn't make it to the playoffs for the first time since 2008 (when Tom tore his ACL).
- Got destroyed twice by the Bills (a team they had a 32-3 record against with Tom as the starter).
- Had to watch the Bills play in the fucking AFC Championship right after Tom won the NFC Championship with the Buccaneers.

Last I've heard he's been on suicide watch; I'm not sure if they'll even let him watch Tom win his 7th at home.

Like someone else here said, this has been Belichick's season in a nutshell:

Well, what kind of woke bullshit will they shoehorn into this year’s commercials? Just hurry up and find an ad agency with a sense of humor.

Don’t the Pats have some cap space issues coming up this off-season? Oh, and a bunch of other on the field shit that Tom Brady was covering up?

I was sitting here eating some Doritos (the official chip of super bowl liv) and was wondering if the super bowl had an official internet forum.

This could be a big opportunity for Josh.

Also there should be a space on your bingo card just for the unkillable abomination that is STAR WARS.

No Bud commercials this year. They are said to be putting that money toward worthy causes instead.
Has anyone seen my eyes? I just rolled them so hard they popped out.

Will this self-imposed prohibition include Bud Seltzer or whatever it's called? Because they shelled the shit out of that shit the rest of the season.

With as blitz crazy as the Bucs have been, Chiefs might be a little vulnerable with Eric Fisher missing from the oline.

well you're going to get your fill from the pre-game and halftime "entertainment"
