The Official Simpsons Griefing Thread

So about that theory that when one of the main voice actors die the show may finally end...

The only other way the show could finally end is if either (A) it's unprofitable to keep it going or (B) the family of one of the dead voice actors doesn't give approval to do it.

Ok we're back and ready to make fun of show that went sour a long time ago:

Homer: Oh boy now to watch some tv!

*sits on the curb and starts clicking a rat like a tv remote*

Fancy rich lady: OH! you poor man! You think that rat is a remote!

Realjims gives us an interesting take on the current season. Apparently Season 33 is a Renaissance?
Since the reviewer raved about the episode "Lisa's Belly" I decided to check it out.

The voices for Homer and Marge are terrible. I knew Marge was bad but Homer's is getting very noticeable now. It opens with an Action Park gag which is somewhat timely for once. The Doctor Hibbert voice is HORRIBLE. Holy fuck.

Anyway, there's some decent gags but I wouldn't call it a return to form.

He's saying it is in a very relative sense of the word.

From what I gather, he's basically saying Season 33 is a lot better than the previous five years of the show at the very least and more likely the last ten seasons, but the season still cannot hold a candle to the Classic Years/Golden Age or even the Scully Years/Silver Age but trying to compare Season 33 to those seasons at all is a fool's errand.

When you compare it to the last decade or so of Zombie Simpsons, a season with a few semi-decent and actually watchable episodes seems like it's a godsend.

Someone have a little too much fun to mix the Simpsons with the Happy Merchant. :story:

People may already have seen this IRL, as it airs tonight in the US. Simpsons Death Note anime crossover/tribute on the newest Treehouse of Horror.

It was already done a decade ago in the treehouse of horror comics
Still for many years the Simpsons comics stayed mostly decent even as the show declined so credit for drawing inspiration from a good source of thoh material.

The new THOH was meh, the only one that was ok was the last one. The middle one felt like I was watching a different show.

Firstly let me just say selling out to a troon cow must be a new low for a show that in its glory days would have called that artist out as the incel turned troon who hates women that he really is.

Secondly why is the new treehouse of Horrors insist on parodying movies 3 to 5 years after they stopped being relevant? Outside of a rumored "director's cut " said to run over 7 hours long and a chapter 3, nobody talks about it (2017) much anymore. The same thing happened a few years ago when they tried to parody Jurassic World and it started arguably with the avatar parody that was over a decade ago.

At least the shininning and Bart Simpsons Dracula aired after those movies earned their classic status, and I know what you diddly did last summer was only 2 years after I still know what you did last summer and while the new slasher craze of the 90s was still going on.
