The Official Simpsons Griefing Thread

Ya know there was a time in the 90s where the Simpsons was considered such a controversial show that Bart merch were banned in schools and Bush Sr took a jab at it yet it only made the team bite back harder and now when I look at what's it's become....

The villain is going to be Donald Trump, they can't help themselves.
Based on Matt Selman's (current Simpsons co-showrunner outside of Al Jean) statement in this article: https://www.ign.com/articles/the-si...park-cause-the-topical-is-so-chaotic-and-nuts

I'd highly doubt they'd try to purposefully tank and date the movie like that. Maybe a joke here or there, but not necessarily a full plot. They might do some retarded overt social commentary in the story, but I'd doubt they would have invade the plot.

Simpsons - This IS My Rumpus Room (from "The Joy of Sect")

Code:
Groundskeeper Willie: Oh, you're gonna break like matchsticks! I promise ya
                      that!
                      [Flanders appears at the stairs.]
Ned: Hey, I made some Rice Crispie squares for our hungry
                      deprogram-orinoes!
Groundskeeper Willie: Oh, man! You ruined the atmosphere, you daft pansy!
Ned: Well, this is my rumpus room.
Groundskeeper Willie: Ah, j-- don't call it that!

My dad was in southern California on vacation when the LA Unified School District banning the "Bart Simpson: Underachiever and proud of it!" shirt made the news. He ran out and bought me one, brought it home and told me to wear it to school the next day and tell any teachers or admins who gave me shit to call him.

Played Simpsons Hit and Run, it was nice though a lot of jokes could have gone better.
Around the time the game came out, was there any indication that Cletus or his kin were of a particular religious faith? Hearing him say that his father was "with allah now" kind of threw me the first time I heard it.

Homer, I'm gonna tell you the same thing I told Robert: it ain't gonna happen.
"Not with that kind of attitude."

Sorry for double-posting, but I do love these quote games.

"The Simpsons - Just gotta put my shoes on"

Code:
% Next, she inspects the adorably-dressed children, and gives Bart a
% quick spit-bath, to which he objects. Then, she looks for her truant
% husband.

Marge: Homer!
Homer: What?!
Marge: Are you ready?
Homer: Just gotta put my shoes on!
[Homer is in his underwear, playing with slot-cars]
Marge: The only thing I asked you to do for this party was put on
clothes, and you didn't do it.

The Simpsons deal with AI in tonight's new episode:

View attachment 8004348
Does this episode take this premise further, like Homer starts relying on it to do his safety inspections at the nuclear plant and almost causes a meltdown because AI still sucks, or does it just do what South Park did two years ago and only has it be used as a tool for children to cheat in school?

Or, does it only have AI as a bait and switch opening for the first five minutes, then the rest of the plot goes off on something completely unrelated like so many Simpsons episodes do?

Seems to be a Lisa episode so my guess is the AI does something to make Lisa sad and then a gratuitous and self indulgent celebrity cameo shows up to suck Lisa's clit and tell her how she's so great and wonderful and perfect.

That's usually how these go

It's fucked up that when I started watching the Simpsons when it first started to air, I was Bart's age and now I'm older than Homer.
If Homer Badman was written today Lisa would have disavowed Homer immediately and sided with the angry feminists.

The world has changed a crazy amount in the last 30 years and definitely not for the better.

Yeah that. The episode is actually about Superintendent Chalmers becoming rich by selling the mucus of giant radioactive snails as a skin care product.
