The only political message I have

Man, that article is yellow journalism to its core. They couldn't get anything spicy enough out of Null, so they bring in a bunch of quotes from literally who "experts" and "psychologists" that may or may not even exist.

@Hollywood Hulk Hogan what do you think of this?
I always love when they quote a random idiot from a university because them being from a university immediately makes whatever they saw law. Just go work as a janitor for some university and you could probably get some idiot journo to quote you.

Apologies if this has been touched on and I've just missed it, but has any actual news publication (and I mean non-gaming news, non-whatever Forbes calls the anyone can apply to write an article that pays the person solely in clicks and they aren't actually employed by Forbes) touched on the alleged suicide? I'd have thought any serious publication would at least require an obituary before it reported on a suicide being more than alleged.
Who cares? Even if they did it would just be the same crucifixion of jersh as all the others.
At this point it doesn't matter how many journos from where talk about this because they all say the same thing

This Alia Dastagir sounds like a real cunt.
Looks like one too

No, there's been no articles from any publication that has confirmed the death outside of relying on the word of 2 random people on the internet.

Apparently a picture of the dude with a cat is enough evidence he's dead.

If a foreigner killed themselves in Japan the body would of been found and it would made news since I’m sure it’s not common that foreign nationals kill themselves, also blaming the Kiwifarms would prompt Japanese police to investigate.

Near is not dead, near wanted to escape legal troubles for using copyrighted code from Nintendo of Japan in his emulators. He tried to blackmail Null because he wants to help takedown the kiwifarms because we poke fun at his furry friends.

>Kiwi Farms' founder Josh Moon posted a statement on his site denying responsibility, and noted in an email to USA TODAY that "there is no evidence of any harassment."

There is still no evidence this person is dead, and there's actually some evidence he's still alive.

The only thing I want every single person to learn from using this website is to TRUST NOBODY. The government, universities, and journalists all lie - either covertly, overtly, or through omission. When you read something, you must internalize that it is written by a fleshbag just like you and they have a motivation for what they're writing. They are trying to imprint something on your playdough brain and no matter how impartial they're trying to be, they are going to process what they say through their own interpretation of reality.

If you can't independently verify something, it conjecture. It doesn't matter if it's a respected publication, government agency, or university stating it. It's bullshit unless you can prove it yourself.
100%
As a child it was hammered into me “just because it’s printed doesn’t mean it’s true.” If you can’t source and verify a story on your own, treat it with skepticism.

The fact that USA Today would print a story about the “suicide” of a man with no death certificate or any actual proof he’s dead, other than some anonymous Twitter accounts melodramatic and absurdly detailed story about it, is utterly disgusting and is exactly why no one trusts or respects media outlets anymore.

I really want this to blow up in their poorly sourced, propaganda fueled writing, faces.

Media Ethics should be taught in every elementary school, but unfortunately it only exists as an elective in few universities. The main lesson of this course is that it is humanly impossible to be objective. Everything that is written is biased and subjective to the author, and that is the case for a plethora of different reasons, from human nature to blackmail. This means that nothing from the media is to be taken as absolute truth.

But of course, something this important and relevant to life/society will never be provided to us for obvious reasons. It will always need to be personally sought after. Truth is a gift in this world, not a right.

The war on information continues.

p.s. The movie “Nightcrawler” should be required viewing. Tells you all you need to know about the news industry.
