What local station? You mean the local news branch of a megacorp news company?Idk null. Does that mean my local news station is feeding me propaganda?
It has always been broken, but technology and globalization has made this more apparent. If journos can just straight up promote hoaxes in the age of the Internet, just imagine what they could get away with when there were not millions of people looking. It is probably wise to have an extremely agnostic view on the history, as there is no reason to trust any narrative. The 24 hour news cycle broke journalism for good.
I wouldn't blame individual journalists totally for the state of modern journalism. There's much more blame to be had with the institutions that hire these parasites and allow their lies to be published. I believe people have rose-coloured glasses when it comes to what journalism has been historically; despite a few individuals who are interest in telling the truth above all else, most are there to reinforce the narrative for the "public good". Anyone who chooses to tell the truth about Byuu, and therefore align themselves with the people that "killed" him and would totally ostracize themselves from the people they work with. Telling a lie is the path of least resistance for these people, telling the truth amounts to crucifying yourself. You know it always seemed to me that there has been a more interesting scoop in all this, that someone faked his death and the entire internet and media are up in arms over a lie. That is, its something that'd be so easy to blow the lid off of and people are ready to see the media start holding itself accountable for bullshit in the era of fake news, but has any big name outlet even questioned the narrative in the slightest?
These people aren't even vaguely interested in reporting. I dont know why they became journalists but they don't give a shit about journalism, enough that this story has been festering out in the sun for who knows how long and no one has even bothered to look at it. It's one thing to be an incompetent journalist, its another to just not fucking give a shit at all and only pretend to be one so that someone can use you to spread disinformation. There's not even self interest or ambition anymore, in making a name for themselves and standing out from the pack, to motivate anyone to pick this up. It's pretty damning for modern journalism as a whole
Not in Japan.A death should be the easiest thing to prove conclusively.
Not in Japan.Only way I'll believe this fag is dead is when I see an obituary
Lick the Catgirl Cock transphobeWhoever Near is, fuck them for having a thread made about them that led to me clicking an attachment and seeing a giant pumped up penis.
I am skeptical the person died, too. No obituary or anything has been linked and the only person claiming it is that one person, who is probably in on itMan, that article is yellow journalism to its core. They couldn't get anything spicy enough out of Null, so they bring in a bunch of quotes from literally who "experts" and "psychologists" that may or may not even exist.
@Hollywood Hulk Hogan what do you think of this?
I truly wish it was: "...Extremely Dangerous to our Democracy"What local station? You mean the local news branch of a megacorp news company?

It's propaganda. All of it.
The U.S. has a website that records all deaths even outside of the country as long as they never renounced their citizenship. It gets updated every few months. I can't remember the website but it's in the byuu thread. Not in Japan.
Not in Japan.
The funny thing is that I don't think Byuu realizes the monster he's unleashed. People will protect the narrative at any costs and so he could come out today, explain he faked everything with ample evidence, and people won't believe him.
HOWEVER, ON INT'L SOIL: Foreigner deaths are also usually seen as reported on the local news. This death would have been announced by now if Near had gone with his suicide. Not in Japan.
