The Outer Worlds 2 (discuss the first one here as well)

80 Bucks for a sequel to the worst RPG ever published. There will be retards some ITT that will do such a thing.
Guarantee you this is just more X-Pass fodder. I also will bet that the game will be even more primitive than Outer Worlds 2, my money is on just as dogshit as Avowed. I also guarantee that just like Avowed nobody will even care enough to A-log it.

for me personally its just something ill end up playing once or twice on game pass, its just not worth $80, you could make a better argument for Fallout 5 costing $80 (though id still vehemently disagree with that)
The $80-but-also-on-gaymepass-day-one thing is a real sticker. The only reason I can fathom is that Microsoft is feeling the burn and if they can sell what's ultimately a AA game at $80, even it doesn't move copies, they can use it as justification to bump future "AAA" titles up to $100 or beyond.

Did you watch the trailers? Bugs galore and the animations looked stiff and awkward.

This is 100% a made for Goypass game like Avowed. Anyone stupid enough to pay 80 dollarydoos is just a bonus retard tax on gaymers.

I thought that was intentional?

Because, you know, environmental poisoning to the point where people are actually predisposed to be mildly more retarded than your average normie?
The whole thing with people being brainwashed corporate slaves that talk in slogan jargon? Yes
Marvel writing? No, again that was a late game decision to "make the game less depressing" or something. Their excuse was QA testers saying as much, of course we now know it was just Obsidian turning into modern nu-Obsidian during the game's development.

I cannot wait to watch comparisons between the two games. Avowed has an excuse that it was build from the ground up, if OW2 has missing features from the first game? Whoa buddy, even I won't be defending it.

i still cant believe what they were thinking with parvati, just what the fuck is that whole fucking questline. i pirated the first one and i still got offended by that whole shitshow. of course i uninstalled the game and put obsidian on the never give them money category
The original character was done by a completely different writer who did the asexual lesbian questline(worst quest in the game btw, both mechanically and narratively). The original writer had to leave and do something else and only written the portion on the first planet, ie the tutorial, that's why she turns into a completely different character the moment you actually leave Edgewater.
Kind of a microcosm of the entire game really, there is only a taste of what the real game was going to be like left in the retail product, and the rest of it has been infected by reddtitors.

In a world of "every game must be fucking huge", I appreciated how contained OW1 was. I lost it 45 mins in when I had to go to my own ship to find a.. disguise enabler? Auto-disguiser? To pass into a small ass office for a quest. I had to google where to fucking find it, and people say you can avoid finding it.. Making a central mechanic to the game inaccessible for the whole playthrough.

thats pretty much what Obsidian has been doing lately, outside of CRPGs they pretty much make more-condensed BGS games, Avowed is to TES what Outer Worlds is to Fallout, theirs issues with all of those games, but id say most of them have their niche of Core Gamers who just enjoy RPGs
