Originally believed to be a different species altogether, the scurrypooner has recently been discovered to be a hybrid of the standard L'il Dood and the Common Theyfab capable of breeding true. The Scurrypooner unlike its Pooner ancestor, walks on all four limbs with the front two having semi developed hands capable of some manipulation, though its chubby digits prevent any real fine manipulation. Its back limbs allow him to raise himself up, which you can see when a Scurrypooner begs for treats.
Scurrypoonerss have rounded heads, and the puffy lips that pooners are known for are even more pronounced in scurries. And their hair shows an even brighter range of colors, or in some cases? A scurry will be without hair at all. Continuing the differences, Scurries do not have self harm scar patterns, and the mastectomy pattern is when present? Only in the base "zippertits" pattern though their skin can run a darker and almost purple pink in some cases.
A scurrypooner possesses a poon, but their secretion of poonslime is far less frequent due to the fact that they do not enter a poonsack phase and do not develop the phallo common among the other breeds. While this decreases their value to the showpooner groups, Scurrypooners have recently been popularized in the pet trade due to their relative lack of smell.
Unlike a Liddlest Dood, or a standard pooner, you do not need a special habitat or a room set aside for them. Due to being no larger than a large housecat, they can roam freely and their relative lack of coordination will keep them away from high places. Provide a litterbox for them. and a dish for water and one for gummies dusted lightly with T powder, and a scurry can live a happy healthy life.
That said, a Scurrypooner will still secrete a bit of poonslime, and should the smell get strong? Cleaning with a damp q-tip will prevent its accumulation.
Unlike most Pooners, Scurrypooners are capable of showing affection, and will display a nesting behavior if allowed, enjoying sleeping cuddled up with their fellow scurrypooners and/or their owners. While they lack the ability to mimic and learn human speech, they still have the ability to vocalize the Pooner cry of Dood, and when happy? Will verbalize this while pressing their lips to their owner's legs.
With care and affection, a scurrypooner can live anywhere from 10 to 15 years. They will, if bred give birth to a litter of 1 to 4 poonlets.
Of note is the fact that some companies have begun providing acessories for scurrypooners, hats and shirts since their relative lack of poonslime and lack of freebleeding means they do not require poonpants. The liddlest Poonshop offers a wide range of accessories for your scurrypooner so you have the most valid scurrydood!
