Edit/update: I talked with guy, he wants to make sure I don't get pregnant, so he says if I want to he will use condoms. He has told me about his previous sexual partners both male and female so it doesn't seem like he's trying to hide anything. But he still says hes more than happy to use condoms. Thank you to everyone who told me you could still get pregnant on T, I was under the impression it was damn near impossible and that if it did happen, it woildnt be viable. I'm going to speak to my GP about contraceptives and what they recommend I do as I'm not sure what WI work and won't. Thank you so much for the replies. It was a lot easier than in the uk. I was given the price of £4500, I’m not sure what that would be in lira or euros but it’s considerably cheaper than in the uk. I messaged the number that’s on his instagram account, they will ask for a picture of your bare chest, and then will pass you through to his assistant. His assistant is very helpful, we arranged a date for me to fly out and that was it! Did all blood tests and other things just before surgery. He doesn’t require anything like a diagnosis or referral letter or anything like that. It’s really so much simpler than I was expecting. I’m not sure if it would be the exact same process for Turkish residents but what I can tell you is I saw a lot of Turkish people getting surgery in there. The only thing that did make me a bit nervous was that I had to pay in cash, they said it was something to do with the fact they were in a private sector? Not entirely sure on that one but it was okay.

Hi, i was in a similar situation. I'll be honest, I don't think you're going to be able to start your medical transition until you're 18. You might be able to start at 16, but that depends entirely on different circumstances and your situation. I chose to wait until I was 18 and go privately but obviously most people can't afford it (I can't really, I'm in major debt but I'm working through it). The process I went through when I was 16 I went to my GP, said I'm trans can you refer me to GIDS? And he said yes sure, come back in a few months and we will sort the refferal out. I came back, he "reffered" me and told me to wait a few months for them to get into contact with me or my gaurdian. I waited nearly 6 months, went back to him and asked about it, he said "oh I never reffered you. I can do that for you now though?" I said yes please "okay wait a few months for them to contact you." 3 months later, I turned 17 and went back and said I still hadnt heard anything, he said well I didn't refer you. And I'm not going to do it now because by the time you get seen, you'll have to start over on the adults waiting list. Gave up after that. They will try to make it difficult and hard to access, which I can understand why they do but the wait times are killing people. Obviously you can't just give everyone hormones whenever but it doesn't need to be THAT difficult. Don't make it easy. But not so difficult.
