To play devil's advocate they're probably not talking about an actual IRL friend but someone they follow because they're into the same fandom shit and it basically amounts to not wanting to see certain content all the time if you don't like it. I would say: stop having "fandom friends" and spending so much time on social media blogging about fictional stuff. People who post fandom stuff all the time are ass cancer.

It's not the admins; it's the school board that sets these rules. (Assuming the state hasn't set them). Nobody shows up to vote on school boards, so they're voted in by organizations, activists, or even Soros. No, really. They don't care if they get voted off next election. It's not likely to happen, but if it does, they have a great job waiting for them at these organizations.

School boards are always a pit for partisan sleaze.
