Yet another incident of predator catchers that are dumber than rocks when it comes to doing things legally. You'd think they'd be aware that walking off with the pedos phone, let alone recording yourself talking about how you're doing shit with it will make the device and the chatlogs completely inadmissible as evidence as at that point the guys defense attorney can claim its not possible to prove it wasn't tampered with in some way, not to mention the whole chain of custody for evidence shit. The DA will drop that case like a rock
But what do you expect from a retard who so far has:
- claimed to be a representative of an actual company running a fake lottery where the pedo supposedly won a vehicle, in order to get access to the guys family members home and cooperation in getting him to show up (this directly violated all kinds of legal regulations relating to state lotteries, fraud and could also have gotten them sued by the company they claimed to represent if shit had gone bad and it got out their company was used to get access to anyones home)
- Got warned multiple times by multiple PD's that faking a test drive to try to drive the pedo to the police station and get him arrested was technically kidnapping and could catch them serious charges
- Falsely claimed to be delivery guys to get access to pedos houses (great way to get sued, among other things, especially if any kind of incident happened)
- Falsely claimed to be uber drivers picking up pedos (hello kidnapping charges if the pedo got vindictive, to say nothing of what ubers lawyers would do if shit went bad)
- Placed hidden cameras in a trap house bathroom to record the pedo nude, taking a bath (this isn't just all kinds of illegal, this is serious felony and ending up on the SOR yourself territory. recording someone in bathrooms without their knowledge under any circumstances whatsoever is a serious felony and usually prosecuted as a sex crime)
- Ate food a predator brought for the decoy, which aside from being an incredibly stupid thing to do given it could be drugged or fucked with, is destroying evidence
- Keeps referring to themselves as a 'predatorial investigation unit' which aside from the name implying that they are the ones who are the predators, he presents some homemade ID to idiots working at walmart and such to get them to let him into stores in the middle of closing or through entrances they're not supposed to have access to and could get the workers into serious trouble over because its presented as some kind of official bs
These retards are only slightly less stupid in the way they handle these 'investigations' than DAP, and then only because they don't flat out assault people. But doing this shit is going to get them locked up sooner or later. Particularly when doing things like recording people naked in bathrooms. Nothing says you're doing what you do to protect kids like doing shit that will get you jailed and put on the registry yourself after all
