https://mega.co.nz/#!81sUVAIZPost the audio book. I would love to hear it.
I've been to a couple, they are great fun. I would recommend seeing the film beforehand if you've not seen it before, purely because there's so much stuff being yelled at the screen that it can be quite hard to hear what people are actually riffing on. And yes, people throw a lot of spoons at the screen. Last time I went, there was a carpet of spoons at the front about a foot deep. We managed to get a huge box of plastic spoons and chucked the lot.Damn, I need to go catch a midnight screening of the Room. What are those like anyways? Do people really always throw spoons at the screen? I'd go for that alone. None of my friends like the Room and I somehow doubt that I'd be able to convince the missus to go with me though.
I don't doubt that Wiseau admires Williams, but I can't see any aspects of Williams in The Room other than, as you say, vaguely similar subject matter. Either that, or he was just aware that Williams was a respected playwright who wrote a lot about messed-up relationships and decided to claim him as an influence. For all the drama Kiwis here, what do you suppose it is that Wiseau admires about Tennessee Williams? He's been invoked several times over the years in interviews, but there's really no discernable comparison between the two. Williams wrote about adultery, sure, but it wasn't usually his focus. (And was usually far less wan.)
If anything, Williams would be more likely to sympathize with the "evil lying whores."Certainly Wiseau's "women are evil lying whores who lead men astray" view expressed in The Room doesn't sound very Williams.
Got this beauty minutes ago from the mail.
I can confirm that it's the original copy through its filled with edits like the crossout lines of Peter with Steven over it. I can't wait to read it. Also do you want me to type out the whole thing here so others can witness The Room in Script form?
I love how this is actually in the screenplayDenny picks up an apple and takes a bite.
It'll make him look like even more of an asshole.I love how this is actually in the screenplay
