Calling it now, they're trying to build hype via speculation because whatever it is is really stupid and they're aware that the bulk of the Sims community has been unimpressed for a long ass time.

Apparently, the new TS4 patch introduced a bug (or it was there before, but became more common with the newest patch) where attempting to save results in an error. It appears that using the Save As option (which you should always do in TS3 and TS4, just to have backups that you can revert back to) seems to work better.
The Sims Team also posted this workaround to the saving issue. I'm still trying to comprehend how they manage to break the saving feature for the game in the first place.

EA rolled out a TS4 patch, that includes a lot of fixes to the My Wedding Stories pack, aka stuff that should have been in the game in the first place. Sadly, there are still bugs in the pack that have not been fixed.
The other notable part about this announcement is this spin phrase EA posted:
So a Game Pack, where almost none of the features worked properly on launch, is because the Sims are special? This phrase is just as bad as "It's not a bug, it's a feature", "Pride and accomplishment", "Brutal expectations", "Do you guys not have phones", and "I would like to have users enjoy lots of cars and races even without microtransactions." And the Error Code 0 Save Bug is still not fixed either.

Bump, as a few changes have came to TS4:
The Sims team had this preview/advertisement thing appear in the game's main menu, for a day. It's hinting some sort of Dating-related GP, but given how broken My Wedding Stories was on launch, this will probably be the same.
And TS4's base game price has been reduced to $20. The last time the base game was reduced in price was back in August 2016, where it was reduced to $40. The base game is still barebones though.
EA is opening up their Creator Network program, to attract more suckers to shill for their games, The Sims included.

The Sims 4 team teased the next roadmap for TS4, which will be coming out tomorrow. Two kits, and a Game Pack will be incoming:
