There are rumors that EA may be developing a "Remastered" version of The Sims 4, possibly using the Project Rene platform. So basically it's The Sims 4-2, so they can say that it isn't The Sims 5.

TS4 is one of those games where it just makes sense to stop updating after you find a comfortable spot and get all your mods in working order.Sad News: Anadius has retired, he will no longer update the updater and its gives a message saying it no longer works.

Her avatar is actually from a french movie called Amelieto this day I'm not sure if fitgirl is a tranny. Her* avatar kinda looks like it could go either way and it's in the coding world so...
Apparently there was someone who goes by Simmerella who had been paywalling pirated TS4 DLCs on her Patreon?? She has since backtracked with a clearly AI response saying it was a "misunderstanding" and that everything is FrEe and the donations were only for those who wanted to support her uwu... but what about those 3-day early access pirated DLCs you can buy for $4.50 lol?? How is that not you trying to make a profit and only for uwu cozy support uwu? Like how fucked in the brain do you have to be to pay for pirated content anyway?? And how demented must you be to publicly profit from a AAA gaming company's game like this on PATREON with your bank/card details and legal name?? It's a level of mental retardation and stupidity that only the TS4 community could conjure up.
Sorry if this has been posted before on the site; I haven't been on in a while and just found out about this today. It's really coming to light now ever since the whole Anadius retirement.
Here at The Sims, we love creating games that allow you to experiment with life.
The Sims 4 is our most ambitious life sim yet. It’s defined by limitless creativity; not just within the game itself, but how you choose to play, what platform you play it on, what you download from the Gallery, and whether you kit it out further with Custom Content or Mods. Every Sim, build, creation, and choice you make adds something unique to the experience. It also adds complexity.
While it’s true that making any game is hard, life simulation games are especially challenging due to their deep interconnectivity, free form gameplay, and the randomness built into the simulation engine itself. When you add in years of updates, there are more than 2.4 quintillion possible combinations (really!) of Expansion Packs that a player could own. If we spent one second testing each combination, it would take over 77 billion years to go through them all! That doesn’t include Game Packs, Stuff Packs, custom content, or the differences in PC, Mac, and console hardware.
Even if two players take the exact same steps in their game, the outcomes could differ dramatically. That’s part of what makes The Sims 4 so alive and fun to create, and what makes tracking down bugs and stability issues uniquely challenging.
Our team loves the challenge of making this game, and while we’re always excited to rise to the occasion, we know we’ve been slower than we’d like to fix the issues you care about. Complexity is part of the magic, and challenge, of The Sims, and an important reason for why some issues take longer to resolve than you may expect. Our job is to keep improving the experience, one update at a time, and we’re not going anywhere.
A Commitment to Consistency
Back in September, we introduced our Quality of Life Roadmap and made a commitment to regularly fixing top community-voted issues, working closer with Mod creators to provide more advance information and notice, and providing clearer visibility into our update schedule. We’re shifting from large, infrequent patches to a steady regular cadence of updates. This commitment started in September, and will continue for the foreseeable future. In November, we delivered our first major step forward: over 150 bug fixes addressing many of the top community-reported issues.
Our next update will be on December 2nd, bringing 40+ additional fixes and improvements of your most voted issues. Our Laundry List will be published November 25th and provide more details, as well as a preview of what we’re fixing in January.
Alongside these updates, we’ll also be regularly hosting Dev Q&As with our team to give you opportunities to ask questions directly and learn more about how we approach fixes, testing, and player reports. Join Discord for our next Q&A November 25th!
Deep Dive: Save File Corruption
Issues impacting saves has been a concern for some of you. We’ve been investigating this deeply since early 2025, and over the past few months, our team has been testing and analyzing every lead, from corrupted lots to infinite loading loops, to identify the root causes. Thanks to new internal tools and player-submitted saves, we’ve been able to confirm several consistent patterns.
Recent Progress
We’re also testing:
- We identified and resolved an issue causing infinite loading when converting Penthouses or Dorms into Residential Rentals, shipped with the November 4 Base Game update. This will work retroactively to restore any previously impacted saves.
- Fixes for Error Codes 109:4fe45107, 109:d7e16575, and 123:b378c837 are coming in our December update. These address the issues seen in the affected saves, though we’re continuing to monitor for new variants. Work is ongoing to resolve Error 801, which occurs when multiple processes compete during load.
- We’ve also begun addressing a potential “Protobuf Overflow”, where save or Lot data grows so large it exceeds storage limits, leading to missing or corrupted lots. Our Memory Boost feature appears to reduce this risk on some hardware, and we’ve launched a survey to collect information from anyone who has experienced missing or corrupted data.
Our conclusion so far? There’s no single cause leading to these issues, and if you like getting into the technical details, we shared a deeper update in the EA Forums. If you’re experiencing performance issues, we published guides on how to back up your saves and make changes to reduce the chance of issues arising.
- Overstuffed or cheat-heavy Lots, where complex or modded placements may cause save corruption when cheats aren’t enabled.
- Mod data persistence, where removed mods leave residual data that can carry through Gallery uploads.
- Venue data carryover, where settings from one save can unintentionally transfer into another within the same session.
Our Ongoing Promise
We know bugs and instability can be frustrating, especially when they impact your stories and saves. We’re working to make the process of fixing them more transparent, consistent, and sustainable.
The Sims 4 has always been about creativity, connection, and community. Your feedback, comments, and votes via the EA Forums are continuing to drive what we prioritize, and your creations inspire us every day.
We’ll keep updating you on what’s fixed, what’s in progress, and what’s still under investigation. Together, we’ll continue making The Sims 4 the best and deepest simulation game in the world, one update at a time.
—The Sims Team
I watch a lot of his videos, generally like them. I feel like he’s hyping this up because it’s a gotcha. He’s been making non stop videos against ea and the sims 4 (esp creators who promote it) for like two years. No one listened to any critiques about game design or rampant over monetization, and their fanbases dragged him as a homophobe(somehow???) and racist. Now he has something where he can actually hold their feet to the fire. I imagine he is pretty ass mad about Trump’s family having any ownership but I also wouldn’t be surprised if he’s hyping it up a bit. It would be really easy for any of these creators to just say who tf cares, but they can’t. Their fanbases would revolt and their careers would be over. He knows that, they know that.
More Sims creator fence sitting.
Tho this Malcom guy is starting to grind on my nerves - seems like a certain orange guys family being involved is the actual issue for him, not the "muh heckin hoomin righterinoos for my lghdtvs!"
The talks about The Sims 4 coming to an end are solidifying with the latest rumor piece shared online. We’ve had some information about The Sims 4 eventually coming to an end with The Sims Team working on a new Base Game (currently titled Sims Project X internally) as an offline version to the Project Rene offering.
The latest information about The Sims 4’s roadmap mentions a Royalty themed Expansion Pack as the last big gameplay release for the series, new information about the World releasing with it and what to expect with The Sims 4 series after the last Expansion Pack drops. Let’s get right into it!
In a response to the recent news about the EA Buyout being approved by shareholders, Sims insider @phii_oda revealed some information that’s been circling around within the insider’s community. Revealing that The Sims 4 Expansion Pack 21 is focused on a royalty theme with three different kingdom types (presumably neighborhoods), with one area which is based on Africa.
The insider suggests that there was an earlier plan to release a whole new African-themed world for free to The Sims 4 Base Game, however it “was canned for some reason”.
Back in early October 2025, EA published a new official feedback session about Legacy Play, Heritage and Ancestors gameplay. Which sounds like something that could be tied into this rumored Royalty-themed Expansion Pack.
The leaker who correctly revealed the theme of The Sims 4 Adventure Awaits stated this about the potential release of an African world back in June 2025:
In a post about the rumored Sims Project X, the alleged leaker mentioned that they’re only aware of one Expansion Pack for The Sims 4 being developed by Maxis Europe. Which could be the Royalty themed one.Maxis want to do more cultural worlds and have been trying for years to get a world based on Africa in the game, but higher ups at EA prefer culturally ambiguous worlds as they sell better. Maxis have come up with an idea to please both sides (but they wouldn’t tell me what that is).
The insider mentions that this Sims 4 Royalty Themed Expansion Pack is the last big gameplay release in the series. Revealing that we should only expect releases such as The Sims 4 Kits and Sims 4 Base Game Updates following the release of this rumored Expansion Pack 21.
There’s currently no information confirmed by The Sims Team acknowledging the rumored gameplay end of The Sims 4. So far, The Sims Team has only addressed that they will be continuing to work on The Sims 4’s stability and performance, with the last public report about fixing the game issues and working on corrupt Save Files.
The Sims 4 had more Expansion Packs teased in an official 2025 Survey that got published this February. Suggesting themes such as Cars, Community Careers, Suburban Living and more. The insider suggests that these ideas might be carried over and worked on the next Sims Base Game that isn’t The Sims 4. Potentially exposing that The Sims 4 will never get playable and functional cars in its almost 12 years of live service releases.
All the survey options that we’ve seen for TS4 might be reused for the new game. So no cars or anything else that we’ve seen except for that monarchy theme

If you were wondering about what’s to come next after The Sims 4 Base Game comes to an end, the Sims insiders are confident about a new Sims Base Game releasing some time after The Sims 4 Expansion Pack 21 drops.
What was initially rumored as a Sims 4 Remaster is now talked as a completely different offline Sims Base Game experience. The rumors suggest that this internally titled Project X Sims game will contain features such as Open Neighborhoods, Seasons and Memories / Milestones tied directly to the Base Game experience. With a whole new engine and updated graphics that will be supported for years to come as a separate offline Live Service experience.
The talks about The Sims Project X differ from the currently officially announced The Sims: Project Rene, which is a multiplayer platform for The Sims. The Sims Project Rene is expected to have features that will allow players to build Houses / Apartments together, participate in mini-games and create their own friend group to level up in different free-to-play experiences. This game is expected to be cross-platform and available for both Smartphone and Console / PC players sometime in the future.
Originally, the single player part of Rene would be included in the full game of “Project Rene” but they’ve decided to separate different experiences into separate games.
This new game will have more flashy features like Open Neighbourhoods, busier Neighbourhoods (I heard up to 3x busier than Sims 4), better graphics (similar to what we saw of the early Rene content, not the mobile playtests we’ve seen).
The game however will be more simplistic than Sims 4 in other ways as the single player experience of Rene was never meant to compete with The Sims 4 and was more a simplified single player offering in a game focusing on multiplayer, and to keep the Sims 4 as the flagship single player game.
However, EA are keen to retire the Sims 4, simply because both QA and development costs have risen substantially in the last 24 months as the game has become complex to keep maintaining while developing new content.

As for The Sims Project X, it’s only rumored for now that it’ll be the next Base Game experience. With talks from several Sims insiders already confirming that it’ll replace the momentum of live service releases and big gameplay DLC that we had for years with The Sims 4 series.
In a newly shared response by the sims insider, there’s some hope for players who have accumulated The Sims 4 DLC over the years. In an answer to a question if Packs will be released all over again for The Sims Project X, the leaker responded “sorta kinda”. But, there’s going to be some value and features for players who own The Sims 4 DLC. “Hold onto your Packs…”
Question: So this new base game is going to be Sims 4.5 and they’re going to release packs all over again for it? Sigh..
Answer: Sorta kinda, hold onto your packs, they’re not gonna be made fully obsolete but that’s info I wasn’t gonna talk about

The era of big shifts within The Sims Franchise is rumored to start in 2026 with The Sims 4 halting big production releases and only focusing on The Sims 4 Kits and Updates. With the next new Base Game platforms being The Sims Project X (rumored as offline experience) and The Sims Project Rene (multiplayer experience).
What are your thoughts about The Sims 4 potentially coming to an end, the last Expansion Pack theme and moving over to Project X and Project Rene? Our comments down below are open for fair and polite discussion!
i literally told a few pages back that HE IS A FLAMING FAGGOT, watching 3 minutes of his video will make you reach that conclusion if you aren't them neutered types.Tho this Malcom guy is starting to grind on my nerves - seems like a certain orange guys family being involved is the actual issue for him, not the "muh heckin hoomin righterinoos for my lghdtvs!"

Because mudhuts, dirt & trash and sims dying halfway through their natural lifespan because of sims-ebola or sims-aids from getting culturally enriched by some warlord wouldn't make for engaging gameplay......
