FFS it wasn't even a darker skin tone related problem, the blotchiness was an issue for all skin tones thanks to horrifying base game textures, but sure of course EA is racist lmao

Now I can't wait for fat black sims with cheese hair to spawn in every corner of my game 😍
 
necro time. ea released a new type of pack for the game: kit packs. aka, microtransactions with a cute name. there's 3 as of right now: a 80's themed athletic clothing pack, a country kitchen themed one, and vacuum cleaners. theyre 5 dollars a pack and reception on this is mixed. honestly it'd be easier to just make a sims 4 store at this point.
 
Looks like we are going back to the bad old days of the TS3 store.
"Going back" might not be the right way to put it. The old store is still around, and I would not be surprised if it was more profitable for EA than TS4 is.
 
someone created a third party mod to the whicked whims mod it adds sex interaction with kids toddlers and pets.

These people are stupid. I just play the game to scratch an itch to build or redesign houses, why reward EA for a game that's inferior to the previous one, except for QoL stuff? I'd say the community could make better objects, but I've seen some of the fan made shit.

Also, I occasionally act like an angry god and torment sims. And cuck Mort with Bella, but I'm pretty sure that's just standard Sims stuff.

Except the Sims 3 store has items, maps, and buildings that people actually want. The scope of available items, plus the fact that it's still up and running, is proof of that.

The store was actually the way how you could tell EA got stingy with what Maxis could give away. The earliest EPs had a ton of bonus items free for download, and came with a good amount of free points for the store. I bought an "arcade" (casino lol) for my Sims to blow money at, and a laundry set because I didn't like the standard washer/dryer when those launched, and a whole bunch of different futuristic room sets, all without spending an extra penny thanks to the bonus points they gave away. As time went on they had less freebie items or points, though I still was able to buy a bunch of shit for free regardless.
