Are they still trying to do Sims 5? They can't seriously expect people to drop 4 (or 3) and move to 5 after their disappointing history of erecting more paywalls and not fixing bugs with 4 lmao
The fact that the Sims 3 site is still active with sales and items released since Sims 4 launched really says what people actually think about 4.

If they're seriously considering a Sims 5, at the very least they're going to have to reimplement Create a Style and the skin, hair, and eyes color sliders.

Sims 3 with nRaaz mods is a vastly superior game. Just with stupid load times and a very high chance for you game to end up as a massive fireball visible from orbit. Which is the end state of most Sims 3 games anyways.

Sims 4 is forever dragged down by its origins as a mobile game. They can improve parts of it, but it'll never have a soul. I would prefer Create a Style though, the worst part about my random desires to build houses in Sims 4 is trying to get furniture that matches. It's like the devs hate good interior design.

I can't wait 'til they implement swatches again for build/buy items.

my refund went through and I got the Snowy Escape + Spa Day + Spooky Stuff bundle and holy shit they have great build items. Also very pretty light fixtures

Snowy Escape is great if you like Japanese themed builds. I'm mentally prepping to rebuild 888 Spire in the city because I love the forced limitation of working around the apartment layout and the actual layout of the lot is, in a word, crap. The actual Japanese neighborhood is a bit disappointing and whoever is designing their sims the last few packs absolutely hates attractive people. So many fat sims with too wide faces.

Lmfao never forget the disaster prebuilds of RoM with the missing doors, misaligned windows, etc.

888 Spire has kitchen cabinets placed on the windows and the wall lights are set up at shin level. It's three floors, but the bottom floor is mostly a pool, with huge bathrooms for no reason. Platforms and the big japanese style bath are probably a better fit. It's like their lot designers have good ideas, but they sometimes feel like first drafts with misplaced shit everywhere. Like all their fat lesbian sims.

Dear lord i haven't checked out the apartments in a while, I don't remember them being so abysmal :stress:

That's the thing, most of them aren't. 888 Spire is the worst, it's like whoever was assigned to it gave it a run through and decided it was good enough. To be fair, it's biggest problem is placing the staircases, since the walls have so many windows. You can put them there, but the stairs will clip through the windows a bit. So you almost have to place it centrally, but then you have to redo everything. The top floor has a stupid walk in closet too. The lot feels awkward to work with, which is why it's a fun challenge, but damned annoying sometimes.

do you mean ea's sims 3 store because if so, lol that shit's fucking dead dude. i am surprised that it's still up along with the sims 3 exchange though, they fucking nuked the sims 2 equivalents in 2013!! never forgiving ea for that shit, you can still read some archived sims 2 exchange stories here but the domain is old as fuck and i have no idea how to contact the dude that runs it

as far as i can tell they fucking gave up with the new japanese pack and just hired ea shills like james turner to build the premade lots for them.. which is honestly a good move on their part, too bad it took them six years to reach that conclusion

What did you expect from a dev team compossed of contractors and diversity hires this multiculturally diverse™ team?

I doubt it, they may implement something unnecessary that requieres an online connection like Sim City, however the risk of them landing in hot water for allowing pedophiles into their life simulator servers with kids and teens while trying to promote a friendly image for their stock holders is too big these days.
Holy shit! Their entire dev team consists of only two people. I would not be surprised if the garden gnome is more productive than the other creatures in this picture.

one of the little things I do like is all those different gnomes haha.

How much you want to bet peeohcee Sims players are still somehow pissy, even after the Sims 4 team bent over backwards for them?

Lol I scrolled through the subreddit to see what people were saying in response to the update and it being released a day early and one of the first posts I saw was "ok but remember we shouldn't be applauding them for doing the bare minimum, this was long over-due," etc.

Over half of the users agree with the ungrateful sentiment
