Nope, didn't even try to torrent it. Just assumed it wouldn't run or if it did it would run like shit.

Maybe try downloading the free CAS demo? 3 worked like a hot turd on my PC, and even 2 takes a while to load with 40+GB of CC, but 4 runs smoothly save some annoying fastforwarding bs that's easily solved with a mod.

Has it improved with the expansion packs? I obtained it when it was new and deleted the file since it was so lacking in comparison to the Sims 2 base game.

Is it really a closed world system even if you are connected to other people on Origin? I assumed making it like that, as opposed to Sims 3, was a way to punish people like me who pirate it.

CAS worked perfectly so I downloaded the game. It's running decently considering my cpu doesn't even meet the minimum requirement. Takes a couple of second for the pie menu to show up when clicking shit though, gonna have to get use to that.

Is is just me, or do The Sims games have the worst modding community ever? They tantalize you with new clothes for your sims, but when you sift through it, it's all butt-ugly twerking wigger shit. All of it. All of the user-created clothes.

It's like something out of a fucking nightmare. For the guys, it's like a hoodie here, a hoodie there. For the girls, there are roughly 500,000 different pairs of platform heels, skinny jeans, and cutout tops that all look fucking identical.

And then, to top it all off, these despicable turds have the nerve to make you sit through a goddamn ad gateway to download any of it. Pure cancer.

The modding community for The Sims series is so bad that we have a thread on it: https://kiwifarms.net/threads/the-sims-modding-community.39020/

I use a browser extension to bypass those monetised links, but agree with you there on the custom content - just want to dress my Sims like normal people and not in slutty trendy clothes only a teenage thot would wear, but there are so few options. And the obsession with designer brands like Gucci that aren’t remotely aesthetically pleasing - it was the icing on the cake when EA themselves did a collab with Moschino (though I installed the pack anyways just for the new windows and improved photography skill).

Not only was the last expansion, Eco Living, extremely lackluster, EA decided to shit this out. The Sims 4 is still lacking behind even The Sims 2 at this point. Shallow story elements and bland personalities seem to be less important to work on than marketing. Star Wars doesn't belong in The Sims.

At this point, I'd be more surprised if Sims 4 got a good expansion pack.

On the plus side, watching nuwars fans having meltdowns about the inevitable "Rey dies" montages should prove mildly amusing.

Honestly this wouldn’t be too bad if it was a one time spin off game like the Urbz. As a game pack for the Sims itself it doesn’t fit in at all.

It's almost like the game is trolling us if they were clever enough.

EA is getting hammered in the comments. The "gameplay" trailer is weak and unappealing.

Yo, I wouldn’t ever want to pay extra money to EA to give me options for different areas in Sims 4. They should have stopped at Sims 3, that game was amazing. 8EF3FB2E-E66A-4658-81B5-39EBB0976077.jpeg
