The Sims Modding Community - "[Sims 4] Incest, Teen Romance, Babies For Everyone and more! UPDATED FOR 1.5.149.1020!"

I'm legitimately flabbergasted that a "Sims Modding" thread of all things could elicit such a response.

Well there was that one time that the toilet reviewing community got mad about the thread that discussed their antics, and one of their members joined and attempted to dox a whole bunch of people:
the queaky forms has survived the rattlings of elite hackers like Skylar and SolidMario. This toilet community may be a challenge, but I am up to that challenge.

The Mares Nest can dish it out but they can't take it.

I'm surprised at how butt hurt they are over this especially since they are notorious for making tl'dr posts ripping on other people.

(They even gave me a shout out!)

I'm SCREAMING, I had no fucking idea that briefly bringing them up in a negative light would eventually lead to them writing this wanky trainwreck. God.

Since I'm here, a lot of people are pissed about the newly announced stuff pack.

Although I understand this "release a bunch of useless stuff packs" model from a digitalware business standpoint, it cannot be sustainable. Especially since if you actually do the calculations, if someone bought the "Premium edition" at launch, and then every expansion/stuff pack/game pack that came after, they would have almost spent $500. Don't know when the community is actually going to realize that, because there's still people who insist that pirating the game is inherently evil.

At present, the Sims series is one of the only sim games set in modern day life, so EA currently has a monopoly and can charge as much as they like for the series. That's what I gathered from the fandom years ago.

EA's been called the Jews of gaming for good reason. Charging for every single little thing they can think of, even splitting pet packs into big and small pets.

You're talking about a community who, when asked by EA in a poll what theme pack they wanted and were offered choices like wedding stuff pack and 80s arcade pack, they instead voted for the Laundry Day Stuff Pack, which offers players the ability to... wash and fold laundry.

To be fair, you're assuming that EA didn't just have its finger on the scales for that poll. It's pretty unlikely that they actually developed multiple packs and only released one, and much more likely that they pretended to poll an audience but in reality always knew which pack was set to win.

I can only assume this is because EA didn't wanna take the blame when releasing such a stupid expansion.

You never know, a bunch of them weren't bothered by the removal of ownable cars in The Sims 4 because they were 'always a hassle when wanting to go somewhere.' Yet laundry was a missed feature.

In all honesty, EA screwed that stuff pack up. Laundry was a part of the Eco Friendly theme that EA put forward. It was suppose to be things like solar power, composting, laundry and eco friendly looking items. After the vote was done, EA dumb the pack down to just laundry. A lot of sims fans were not thrilled over the pack.

How are washing machines and dryers remotely eco-friendly though? Or are you referring only to ye olde fashioned washboards in the pack?

Sims fans should learn that the best way to reduce your carbon footprint is the ancient Japanese art of seppuku.

I used to think that it was a huge shame that SimCity 4 only got one expansion pack while The Sims (1 & 2) got half a dozen with stuff packs on top of that. Now I'm thinking it was a blessing in disguise, especially considering that none of them would be true to life buildings (just "inspired by") and all of them would involve Simlish with the exception of whatever big company they signed onto do a promotion with (H&M or IKEA).

Honestly, at least the H&M and IKEA stuff packs had a substantial amount of content for being stuff packs, and were genuinely optional. The clothing and furniture were nice compared to a lot of the content already in the game. The Cats & Dogs EP for Sims 4 didn't even have pet shops, which was a constant in previous pets-related Sims expansions - they're included in the $10 stuff pack released five months later though!

they're three random fucking brits who've spent the last ten years shitting themselves and laughing at the sims forums, doesn't surprise me they'd have a hard time taking it

them calling me a bumnugget was probably the best thing that could've happened to me

Them being British explains their inability to be funny when they make their blogs.

Not sims modding per se, but sims related.

I think this person was mentioned before, but there is a simmer who was obsessed with some random barely-named townie in Sims 3 who was spamming all the forums they could about their love and obsession for her, calling her their "queen" and other things. It got so weird even Simsecret banned them (and this is the blog that was a-okay with posting week after week with weird Sims 2 feminization-porn of Loki)

Now a sims 2 story teller is getting harassed by this same person. Apparently she had been getting weird messages from this person for months, despite blocking them, IP blocking their anon, setting up a "fake-blog" so they get bounced to that instead, and still this person kept sending them messages demanding their attention.

None of this is really lolcow-worthy by itself - except, as far as I understand the situation, the reason this person is so incredibly obsessed with this one sim storyteller is because they think this person is a sim. They even apologized for caring about another sim more, as if they were cheating on her somehow.

This is adorkable-child is great (especially if they are actually harassing someone thinking that person is an IRL Sim. That is gold).

adorkable-child has a Tumblr. The bio is pretty much what you'd expect

Also, apparently the interest is not just in Susan Wainwright, but extends to the whole Wainwright family

I'm not sure if Gaia is actually trying to suppress her obsession, or if it's the unsure English, or if she's joking

I'm still pretty new to Kiwi Farms, so I don't have information gathering skills I think would be required to go deeper. And I don't know anything about the Sims, so any in-jokes, meta, references, and whatnot would be lost on me. This is as far in I can contribute with my limited talents :/
