Honestly, my person, one could write a novel about MedleyMisty. To make a long story short, she writes stories with the game, and when TS3 came out she started a story featuring this Sim that she really loves. But she had this attitude that *her* story was the best of all stories, and that she is an *EXTREMELY TALENTED* author. She tends to come across as pretty weird. A few people made secrets about her, and she freaked out.
Then, when the Arab Spring happened back in 2010/2011, she got really, really absorbed into it. Really absorbed into it. She didn't do anything that actually helped, but she read every article and tweet she could find about it, and talked about it relentlessly. Which is fine, except she proceeded to berate people for doing frivolous things like playing games. She had her own Sims forum at that point and she went on there and insulted the members, her own friends, for playing the game because it's a waste of time. As you can imagine, this didn't go over well, and she got a few more secrets.
While that was going on, she was taking heavy doses of an NSAID, which is a type of drug that can cause stomach ulcers and bleeding. It's more likely to do that if you take it on an empty stomach, which she did. She took them with nothing but coffee, an acidic drink, which of course caused damage. She developed an ulcer.
She went way over the top describing this situation, she said it was a DEATH ULCER and it was caused by "coordinated hate" from "the entire Sims community," and a ton of other dramatic bullshit like that. It's laughable because it was a handful of secrets that generally didn't receive much comment here, and they weren't that mean. She acts like people doxed her and drew devil horns on her real-life picture - nothing like that ever happened. Mostly it was people saying "Hey, you're kinda crazy" when she was acting kinda crazy obsessed with the Arab Spring. Saying that the "entire Sims community" "hated" her is just plain ridiculous; I have no doubt that the vast majority of the entire Sims community has never even HEARD of her, and the entire Sims community doesn't agree on a damn thing.
Now, she's still writing stories, still being pretty self-absorbed. She makes comments dissing other Sims writers as being amateurs and talks about how much better her writing is. She has said that she wants to find a larger audience for her stories, but to do that she would have to read other people's stories, and other people's stories SUCK. She also still brings up the death ulcer that was allegedly caused by SimSecret and her ex-best-friend, and she claims that she has PTSD from it all.
