The Sims Modding Community - "[Sims 4] Incest, Teen Romance, Babies For Everyone and more! UPDATED FOR 1.5.149.1020!"

My absolute favorite subgenre of sim modders are the ghetto black women. The stark contrast between the people who mod their game to be cutesy and pastel and these women who make their game as uncanny and trashy as possible is hilarious to me. The sims they create have unsettling proportions (either morbidly obese or built like kim kardashian) with spider lashes, extravagant weaves, long nails and hyper realistic skin textures. They have a penchant for modding their consumerism into the game, so their sims too can enjoy getting their lashes done or buying hair care products or even working at an entire T-mobile store for some reason.

There's this one modder I especially like because she makes her own aspiration and personality trait mods like this:

These "black simmers" also really dislike non-black sim players. Here's an example of one calling to create their own racially homogeneous subreddit because people had the audacity to criticize a creepy looking sim that was posted on the sims 4 subreddit:

The uncanny valley hyperrealism that black simmers tend to be into is extremely creepy. Reminds me of the photoskinning trend of custom content in the mid 2000s:

I actually thought this style was dead outside of its distant ancestor of black simmers, but recently I came across a Mod The Sims user called osmo95 who unironically makes their game look like this in the year of our Lord 2023:

Cindy didn't kill her husband. He left her at a really rough time. I don't presume to know all the details about why he left, but I know it was after her miscarriage.

It was about a year ago that she stopped streaming and closed her Discord, someone posted some leaked screenshots between her and her mods that was not supposed to be shown to the other users where they apparently expressed some annoyance and kinda joked around about a member who had been rather annoying who also happens to be autistic or something. It got blown way out of proportion.

Cindy already had a few haters because a while back, she discovered another simmer, Savannah, had basically just cloned sections of her website and called it theirs. She made a big deal of it. Turns out Savannah is a) mentally handicapped and b) extremely prone to stalker-like behavior. Most people won't have anything to do with Savannah now, but at the time, there were quite a few that were defending her as a mentally handicapped person being "bullied" by Cindy. It was speculated that the more recent "ableist" drama may have involved Savannah, but Cindy did clear that up (it was my first thought too).

Savannah herself is a goldmine of entertainment and cringe, too. I'll just leave this here. It circulates the sims community every so often. https://drive.google.com/file/d/14mmFZxrRzivBhZcWuzpiVWpzEmhyO73n/view

Edit: Found where someone posted the leaked mod chats on Tumblr. This is what caused the most recent batch of hate against Cindy. https://www.tumblr.com/pleasantsims...030-mack3030-pleasantsimsexposed?source=share Make of it what you will.

Yeah there's some fuckers still paywalling content, I once had my gender brought into this because I had my own about me written on Discord, people are still charging money for CC. And bad quality one at that. They claim we're nazis for not paying content but they shit on EA for charging for their own content, this GustoWizard guy seems to be classist. They made South Park CC, it was up for a little while until they took it down to put it behind a paywall. So yeah. Long time lurker and big time fan of Starscream here. But I have a LOT to say about The Sims, I may be showing my age I was born in the year of Sims 2 and ED was created my first game was Sims 3, although I hate Sims 4 it still bothers me most packs could have been in one sole pack.

Fuck Paywalls, If some nigga wanna paywall their content I'll make my own then. I just want cc like everyone else.

Before you all say "Pirate it" the dick riders didn't leak his cc, they are too busy being little edgelords and sucking the cock of The Mighty Wizard to even give two shits about the unfairness and cheapness of the cc.

Almost reminds me of CosplaySimmer. I'm surprised they aren't on here.

The issues that TS4 has, is due to it being originally developed as a multiplayer game, similar to The Sims Online. After SimCity 2013 got massive backlash for it's always-online play, TS4 had to be hastily patchworked changed to a single-player game. Those inherent issues are things that cannot be fixed by patching, but only by throwing the game away outright and starting over, and doing it right.

They have been trying to make The Sims 4 more in-depth. But it seems like they almost completely abandoned the Aspirations system. Many skills don't have aspirations linked to them. The aspirations that do exist are way too basic in the steps. The scenarios system should've been incorporated into it. Making aspirations closer to The Sims 2 storylines.

They then introduced Lifestyles. Which is just traits that unlock due to gameplay, with more negatives if you play the character opposite to their lifestyle. Which what traits should've been in the first place. I don't understand why they needed to slap a new system over the top. Some lifestyles are covered already by traits, like "Outdoorsy" So you are just double dipping.

Thirdly, they are supposed to be introducing new systems in the new expansion "Growing together" but it seems that it so heavily relies on the Parenthood and Base game, and changes the gameplay so much, that the system itself should've been a base game update. But EA gonna Jew.

I wonder if the effort to make Sims 4 less shallow also has something to do with the upcoming life sim game by Paradox. One of its directors used to be heavily involved with Sims 2 and Sims 3, even. If it turns out to be a flop, I would be glad to see other life simulation games other than the Sims, honestly. Maybe EA will actually put in more effort on Sims 5 now that there's potential competition, who knows.

It's a shame that the sims doesn't have the same variety that it had back when the console versions weren't trying to be a diet version of the pc games and there were handheld spinoffs that had a strange charm to them.
The ps2 console games with the goal orientated game play was so fun. Original sims and bustin' out were the best

The mysims games were a blast, they were fairly childish but fun and cute.

It was way better having that as a sort of alternative for little kids than having the main game be so dumbed down that it can't even have burglars anymore because it might scare the children (zippertits are somehow fine, though)

I loved that the sims 2 for ps2 was so much different than the pc version, castaway on ps2 was fun too. I played the sims 2 life stories for the first time recently and enjoyed the story lines, they used to make so many fun sim games, or maybe that's just nostalgia, but it really felt like the devs were passionate about it back then.

I am hopeful about the paradox game since they did make a better city builder, they do like to go crazy with the dlc's like EA though, at least they are generally more reasonably priced. I don't think any of the new games are going to have that charm and humour of the early sims games though. They are all making games aimed at the younger population that is offended by everything. I wonder if EA is planning to try to make a new simcity ever again or have they given up after the complete failure of the last one.

What game in the series would you recommend to a noob? It seems to come down either 2 or 3. I tried 4 but it was pretty boring. Maybe I was doing it wrong but it felt like the sims had no personality.

Sims 2 is whacky in a really fun way, something that they just could not recapture in 3 and 4 tbh I cannot remember any of the households I played in 3, 2 has so much personality and memorable townies/pre-created households and storylines.

So much so that they huffed the memberries in TS4 with rehashing things like Strangetown.

The sims 2 has a lot of dedication put into the different towns and the backstories for the npc but the gameplay can be a bit brutal sometimes.

I haven't played Sims 1 in years - I'd be inclined to say it worked well within its limitations at the time, but probably doesn't hold up now.

Sims 2 has the most quirk - there's YouTube compilations demonstrating how much time and effort went into just minor animations that made the Sims feel more alive. If you download all the expansions the gameplay UI can get a bit bloated because they kept introducing new features but it's a really fun game. You can also download replacement textures etc to update the graphics. There's a reason why a lot of YouTubers choose to stream this version.

Sims 3 imo isn't as great on the micro level as Sims 2 but it does have the benefit of being open world and also has the Create a Style tool which means it's a lot easier to customise Sims and houses. It's also relatively more recent so the styles and graphics aren't too outdated.

Sims 4 is basically Sims 3 but extremely railroaded and lobotomised.

NGL thought of checking here right when I saw this. With the things that have been posted here in the past, I am scared of seeing the nonce implications this will bring.
Is this not toddlers pt.2?
I thought the infants in Sims 4 were fine enough. Only so much a baby can do when they're that young: shit, eat, sleep. repeat.

Personally I always found dealing with toddlers and newborns to be the most annoying thing in the Sims, your parent Sims basically became a slave to the toddler teaching them to walk and talk and caring for them that I couldn't find time to actually do anything fun with them lest their toddler become a fuck up.

Maybe this is what real parenting feels like, but is was always too much for child me to deal with and enjoy.

thats kinda the problem sims players had with infants originally. they basically did nothing. they were objects till they hit the child stage until the toddler update, and they still did fuckin nothing
