Somewhat sims related but paradox, the company that bulldozed the smouldering remains of the sim city series with city skylines just announced their new life sims project titled "Life by you". The title will be realsed as an early access in September of this year. It will be available on steam and epic store fronts.

Some confirmed features are,
-All lifestages available in the sims 2 (so baby toddler child teen adult and elder. No young adults as far as I've heard, but a big however characters will now age continuously by in-game year rather than jumping from one stage to the next. Whether the length of the ingame year can be customised is still to be seen.
-open world with cars and other forms of transportation.
-all base game careers will be interactive.
-furniture and clothing customisation in the vain of create a style.
-full mod support and user end tools for mods and CC.
- characters will have randomly generated conversations using real world languages which will try into there traits and recent life events.

Personaly I'm not getting my hopes up to much but from what I've heard so far its looking good. The one thing that has me double taking however is paradox's choice to release the game under an early access model.

Nothing changed really, the only thing that's changed is Sims 4 devs trying to virtue signal about a feature
that has been since the beginning of the game's series and wasn't even implemented by them, because they know that outside all this alphabet pandering, their
game is a mediocre disappointment that paywalls the most basic content that you had for free, in the first three previous games.

Why else do people think they are pushing this shit so hard?

The Sims 4 has a sexuality menu in CAS. But I'm not sure if this was updated later on in the games lifespan. You can choose whether Sims are interested in Men or Women romantically or Both. Plus you can choose whether they'll WooHoo with one or the either or both.

I've actually had a Sim see if they can hook up with an in-game Sim, only to discover the official in-game Sim is flagged as Asexual. Interested in Romance, but not interested in WooHoo with either sex.

Although I found it funny I WooHoo'd with a Female Sim my Sim was good friends with. Only to discover through conversation later she was married to a guy. And that she got a jealous sentiment when my Sim WooHoo'd with another female Sim right in front of her. Then later on she called my Sim to ask whether she should have a baby with her Husband.

Yeah they are also autistic to the point that they have a list of mods you're not allowed to use. Like what's the point of that, Imo it'll cause more people to use those for those mods. Meanwhile Turbo "I have a big dick even though its small" driver used the farms as his personal attack center.

It's not just Deaderpool discord server that is being autistic it's also the r/thesims discord.

The sexuality options were added in the patch before the High School Years EP release, so it was added last year. And yes, it does make the game annoying to play, due to the said issue of not being able to romance or WooHoo with someone, due to incompatible sexual preferences.

This looks amazing! The death of The Sims cannot come soon enough!

I was hoping Paradox would make a life sim because Paralives looked extremely faggy.

Honestly, now that I think of it.
Is there even a mod that removes completely all the EA's alphabet gang shit and sexual preference shoving?

Usually those types of mod are out now especially when you have EA do the option where you try to disable it, but
it says "Sweaty, you cant disable how YOU want to play cuz LGBT people are part of everyday life so YOU WILL enjoy game enforced girldick".

That type of smug attitude (especially back in the day) was always the game dev equivalent of issuing a gauntlet for someone to break the game or make a mod for it.

On Sacerficals Offical Mod Support Server, someone complained about the miscarriage item in Extreme Violence, it was in build buy mode, and they got all TWIGGERED UWU because they had a miscarriage, which is completely pointless. Why did you install a mod specifically for violence, one that causes people to kill a pregnant woman. Just so you can complain? There's mods from the same person called LIFE'S TRADGIES where you can get kidnapped, when another person stepped up and said to them it's a thing where you kill a pregnant sim they got all bitchy and called it "sick" and TRIGGERING, like, it's a mod? You can remove the mod? I feel like they are in that server just to complain.

Former Sims lead, and current lead for the upcoming game Life by You, Rod Humble, mentioned about how males in focus groups would lie about what they were doing in the games.

"I remember a bunch of young guys," said Humble, "and they get into the room, it's a mixed room, and we're like, 'Hey, what did you do?' and they're like, 'Murdered people. Went in and starved people, had sex with everybody in the town.' But actually, what you did is you redecorated that bathroom, right? Like, that's actually what you did. I know guys who played sims as teenagers. They did both playing house like girls and being chaotic like boys. The best probably was competitive sims jams where you had earn most money, get top of a career fastest or something else like that. They just did whatever they found hilarious and sometimes that was making the prettiest pink frilly room for a toddler in their Scandinavian modern house with tasteful open air floor plan and English cottage garden.

Man, I wish Sims was still good. I played them all growing up, but 4 is such a pandering, broken mess I regret ever buying it.
3 needs performance mods to even run, but world adventures is a lot of fun. And controllable pet sims are great.
Wife likes 2 best, she does weird science lab prison type builds with the captives being forced to earn money for alien sims. She tried doing it in 4 but the weird tranny sims kept popping up so she's gone back to 2. It's way easier to torture and kill them in 2.

Now I wonder actually, since the this game is being made by people who are actually putting hard work and passion into the game, I wonder if they will make creative ways to murder the Sim characters like in the old games. Maybe even bring back some classic methods.

Regardless I am very excited for this project. I haven't been this excited for a Sims type game in years.
