This takes me back. Back when I was beautiful, I played a lot of Sims 2 and downloaded a bunch of mods. Nothing on the levels of these.

See I don't remember Sims 2 mods being all THAT controversial. I mean maybe it was because I wasn't really looking for anything particularly perverse, I will freely admit I had a mod that disabled the sensor grid and gave all sims from teens upwards realistic skins but I was a hormone addled teenager with few outlets and only very basic access to internet porn. I made do. That aside, I never really sensed the community going downhill until Sims 3 trainwrecked its way onto my hard drive and pretty much killed the series for me.This takes me back. I remember seeing a few for part one like a cigerette table where your sims can smoe and sex toys. The Sims 2 was definitely when the crazy mods started.
The shower from Simslice right? My favorite mod for sims 2 was a machine that acted like a shower but reset all the needs back to maximum green. It was a way that I could avoid wasting hours on things like sleeping and eating so that I could sooner max out my sims' hobbies into skills.
Here in the Bahamas we loved our doll house simulators. We were literally acting out teenage fantasies and making up rumors, and my sister and her five friends going "Oh my god, here HE comes!"
It might have been made by Simslice, but it was definitely one I downloaded off of TSR in the free section. The shower from Simslice right?
For those who do not know Simslice was yet another modding site. From what I remember and glancing though the mods, they leaned more towards the "wacky", "game breaking" and "high quality" parts of the mod community. Their claim to infamy was they were a pay site (most of their stuff I'm sure is free now a days, http://svs.paysites.mustbedestroyed.org:8080/booty/ts2/simslice/) and the owner of the site seemed to abandon the site a few years ago. The subscription information was left up for years and apparently people paid money in this timeframe and never got access codes.
According to Wayback, the site got taken down a few months ago: https://web.archive.org/web/20170918021559/http://www.simslice.com/
You know, you can say what you want about this Turbodriver person, but he's still making 13k a month off of this. Would you honestly tell me that you wouldn't do the same for that kind of money? I...can't help but respect that. Now, the people GIVING him all this money on the other hand...yeah, shame on them.
That won't be until someone makes a mod that includes the school.where's the school shooting mod or ISIS mod
Newsea did. I’m not sure about Peggy, although I did use a few things made by her that had “free” in the file name.Did Peggy/Newsea always have three categories of custom content, with there being free, subscription, and donation?
On a side note, does anyone remember these?

It's a shame the Sims 2 exchange site is gone, there was some really fucked up shit on there. Most of the drama and controversy in TS2 community has been deleted off the internet, but from what I've read and heard the Sims 2 player base made modders from the third and fourth games look tame.See I don't remember Sims 2 mods being all THAT controversial. If they're smart then they probably just outsource it all to some crusty Romanian children and have a sweatshop of 3rd world kids to make their content.

Apparently it had such an impact that The Independent wrote a full article about it:
