The Sims Modding Community - "[Sims 4] Incest, Teen Romance, Babies For Everyone and more! UPDATED FOR 1.5.149.1020!"

It's funny, I still see mod content for part 2 (my favorite). It's nice that it's still active after all these years.

Quite a bit of people still consider TS2 to be the best in the series, although TS3 still has it's share of fans, despite how badly EA fucked that game up in terms of optimization.

If you guys could make your ultimate The Sims game, what aspects from which games would it have?

The atmosphere and aesthetic of 1.
The gameplay from 2.
The open world from 3.
The multitasking from 4.
Part 4's "molding" style for building your sim, with the special "elf" option you get in part 2. I hated how needy every Sim and animal was after part 2. I'd have Vampirism be instantanious and have a lot of the goodies part 3 had like horses and other mystical creatures.

EDIT: The neighborhoods could be connected and be able to visit each other.

Open world, create a style, game play from 2. All the supernatural beings from all the versions except plant sims-- I can't stand plant sims. All classic sims from the Goths to Hunter Cottoneye would be in a character bank that you could download from day one. One download option for those who want custom content and one for those who don't. Make sim death pits great again. If I want to trap a sim naked in the middle of town in a glass house for uh reasons I should be able to do that. All the packs would be actual expansion packs and not stuff packs. And Jesus Christ get rid of that Sims 4 art style.

My own addition: A drop down cheat menu so I don't have to type in a fucking code all the time.

And maybe consider making a game for 8 year olds and one for adults, because dumbing down Sims 4 and making it tame just hasn't worked.

I don't give a shit about the open world that 3 added to the franchise so if I had to choose my perfect sims game it'd be 2's gameplay, 4's cas, 1's style, music, general sense of charm and entire modding scene ((at this point the only people who still make TS1 CC are like 35 year old oldfags so there's less :autism: and petty drama since people aren't in it for the tumblr/instagram followers or patreonbux))

I really want another isometric sims game. Like full 3d with smooth rotation, but in an isometric perspective. I managed to tweak Sims 4 to do it after following a tutorial and it looked so so good but I couldn't play using those camera settings since they made build/buy mode unusable.

So the Sims 4 devs acknowledge the existence of WickedWhims and are cool enough with it to make jokes and references in-game.

WW isn't my thing, but I've had a lot of fun with the Extreme Violence and Basemental Drugs mods, making goofy cartel towns and whatnot. Sims 2 and 3 are still the strongest of the series, but I've enjoyed my time with 4. 3+ years of updates definitely did the game a favor since launch, too.

For my ideal Sims game, I'd like it to have the asthetics of TS2, the open world, Create a Sim, Create a Style, and collectable items from TS3, and the quirky items and things from TS1 that didn't appear in later games, i.e. the Skydiving Simulator. I can't really think of anything in TS4 that I would want. Maybe even throw in some features from the Console versions of Sims games, i.e. being able to control your sim in first-person with you controlling their direct movement, from the console version of TS2.

For me, I'd prefer if there were all-new families in the game, as the old mainstay families, i.e. the Goths, the Calientes, and Don Lothario, have all gotten stale because of their constant appearances. The timeline and continuity issues with TS3 being set as a prequel to TS2, and TS4 being an alternate universe, were also apparent.

This might be :powerlevel:, but this thread gave me a shit ton of nostalgia, sims 2 was when i was a kid, the baby bbq and feeding it to the headmaster to get the kids into private school, the anime character mods, first time getting a ghost pet to haunt my sims house, just, damn.

That being said, I wasn't "exposed" to the more degenerate side of the sims, mainly the pedophilia and bestiality, but I'm not really surprised that happens in the sims. Sims has always been used as a way to self insert, escape reality or to act out on their desires.

Honestly I don't know enough about TS1, I came in full force at TS2. If one could take the gameplay/personality of 2 (where i really think EAxis was at it's peak), with the open world, create a style and create a world of 3(I hate the fact we can't make our own worlds in 4 like why in the fresh hell would you take that out? I got stories I want to make and need settings that make sense EA, dammit.), with the fleshed out create a sim system of 4, we may have a good game on our hands.

Also some of the expansion packs from 2 and 3 were super bomb. Generations and Ambitions from 3 were honestly in my top faves for the direction that was taken from them. Parenthood and Generations would be a nice pack to combine and I think would really give personality to the game.

Maybe next time they shouldn't shell out half done expansion packs and call the game/stuff packs so they don't get their ages long fanbase to hate them. It just really sucks that TS4 gets more of it's personality from fan made mods and hasn't really gotten much fleshed out from it's actual team until now with Seasons. The game has been in production for 4 years now with less of a footprint than it's predecessors man.

(to stay on topic though, I never played with some of the fucked up mods from ts2 days. I mainly had ones that made the game run better and not shit itself like it was naturally going to do due to poor coding. Gotta admit the extreme violence one for ts4 is fucking great, though.)

Makin' Magic from the Sims 1 is one of the best ever Sims EPs imo. While the later supernatural packs had more life states like werewolves and vampires, Makin' Magic really focused on fleshing out the actual magic system to a degree that isn't seen in the later games. Magic Town was the best. Studio Town from Superstar was pretty good too since I liked its old school Hollywood aesthetics and the fact I could have my Complete Collection Command and Conquer robot suit sims chill in a hot tub with Marilyn Monroe and early-2000s Avril Lavigne.

I recently found a .zip of all the Sims 1 sex mods from the early 2000s that someone re-uploaded. It also has violence animation mods and some normal furniture in it but apparently a fair amount of people in the community were requesting it to be re-uploaded for some weird reason. I guess they can all chill now that they can watch low poly 3d models bone each other in glorious 800x600 resolution.
