The Sims Modding Community - "[Sims 4] Incest, Teen Romance, Babies For Everyone and more! UPDATED FOR 1.5.149.1020!"

According to some of the modders there have been some changes in the gaming code which now include babies (this is how the cats and dogs pack was originally leaked) as well as a broken bathe toddlers in the sink action. It seems we may be getting a baby update hopefully.

Over/under that they implement the improved babies as a DLC, calling it something like Get Real Babies or something like that?

And there was interaction to take selfies on tombstones in the dev build of the new EP, but that interaction was removed in the release version of the game.

Someone created a mod to re-enable the shrine bowing that was removed because the Koreans brigaded like K-Pop stans at EA to get rid of it. I wonder if those same stans will go after this mod's creator for doing that...

And after taking a break from choosing to not review the infamous Star Wars GP, LGR is back with a review of Snowy Escape:

Also, out of all things, the temporary fix to the crashing issue is to disable the in-game sound completely. I don't want to know how messed up the code is to have sound, out of all things, causing game crashing.

The only mod relating to the debug items is for organizing/naming them, right?
That's all I've been able to find.

I'm still looking for an extreme slider mod that is up to date. I think the only gameplay mods I have (besides MCCC) are the "more interactions with familiar" one for RoM and the "children can do magic;" I seriously wish there were more magic options for toddlers like the past games.

So they did hotfix the sound crashing issue, but there's another bug where the game will freeze and crash when the game tries to generate a new Father Winter, aka Santa Claus, due the game generating way too many of them. This is bringing back flashbacks of the endless Tour Guide and Pickpocket spawning bug in TS2's Bon Voyage...
can't wait for the last ts4 patch in 2034 to break every single piece of custom content imaginable and fucking shred people's hard drives

TS4 Producer Graham Nardone said some interesting things in this interview, and it's not in a good way:

Graham Nardone said:
"EA's strategy, when filling a long-time request for more depth, is to occasionally subvert expectations."

"There's such a diverse range of topics and features that we could cover, the possibility space of what we can do within The Sims 4 is just humongous."

"I think that just goes to show that there's way more that we can still do within this title, and our players are plenty hungry for more content that we can give in. That's a good problem to have."

So TS5 still won't be a thing in the near future, and I see that EA is taking tips from GoT Season 8, TLJ, and TLOU2, in regards to what features get added and what don't.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't there a rumor when Sims 4 had first been announced that it was originally going to be a online multiplayer game?
Yes, the online only version got all the way to near release. It had a lot of leaked beta footage and images and looked very much like the Sims 4 we got today, many of assets were ripped from the online version. I believe it got scrapped because of Sim City 2012 as the game got a heavy amount of backlash for being online only and surprisingly EA didn’t want that same mistake again. If they went through with the Sims 4 being a multiplayer only game and it flopped hard, we could have gotten an amazing indie spiritual successor like Sim City got with Cities Skylines.

I think people would play a multiplayer Sims game, just not as a main series title. People still love The Sims Online to point of recreating it after all. It would work better as a mobile game.

I know nothing about coding of game deving, but with all the issues sims 4 is having I wouldn't be surprised if the spaghetti code of what was originally a online game is to blame (other than the general incompetence of the dev team and ea not giving a fuck)

I remember YandereDev claiming to work for some companies prior to working on Yandere Simulator.

Skintone update just dropped and predictably the woke crowd are celebrating. Also just as expected it focuses on the pee o’ sea and only adds slight variation to the lighter tones. And how long until someone posts a screenshot of a white Sim with one of the new braid styles and gets brigaded like Animal Crossing space buns girl?

And so The Sims 4 once again receives an update to give it a feature that The Sims 3 already had.
