It's funny though, because in spite of Imperial Japan and everything, it was my understanding shrines and visiting them isn't religious or worship in the western sense, at all.

It's complicated and very alien to monotheistic cultures.

Worship in Japan and a lot of other Asian countries is purely transactional for the majority of people. They're trading a few moments out of the day for the potential of reaping major personal benefits. It's like a somewhat more perverse version of Pascal's Wager, where instead of eternal life in Heaven you're praying for a lottery ticket at the shrine to the god of lotteries. Usually this also involves offerings of cash if it's one of the big shrines.

wow they really ripped off all their old ideas and aesthetics for this new pack. All of the creativity really died with TS3. They had some truly autistic expansion packs like that Katy Perry cashgrab but at least they tried harder than this.

Go figure they add diversity into the game with Asian aesthetics and people still chimp out. At least it's a more realistic pack, I guess, because the fantasy packs tend to suck...but wow, it looks so limited, kinda like Jungle Adventure in that it's pretty to look at it but there isn't much new to do in-game.

It's pretty pathetic when a bunch of random online incels make better mods, custom open worlds and neighborhood concepts.

It's because as sequels (and Maxis, and EA) it inherently sucks. Add that to the fact EA is a particularly soulless company and the fact the heart of the project left ages ago and this is what you get, because they know their fanbase will autistically swallow anything they give them.

Not to mention that there's pretty much no other major competitors in the Life Simulation game genre at the moment, compared to other genres such as FPS games, which allows EA to freely Charge For Everything.

In response to the negative response from the Korean community, SimGuruGraham announced that the said offensive conent will be removed from the EP. And unsurprisingly, a lot of people are not happy about that decision.

I just wish the fan made Sims 1 iOS port was still a thing. That’d be some real comfy content...although if EA made one for realises themselves they’d probably split the expansions in half, charge twice as much for them and make you do gacha pulls for CAS skins or something.

I'm definitely not going to buy Snowy Escape when it gets released, will probably wait for a sale or until you can bundle.
Still think it's bullshit that the main part of the desperately-needed personality overhaul is part of an EP

The Fitgirl repacks were good for me when I used them, though I haven't played Sims 4 in a while.

it still exists as a source port (or "frontend", apparently?) for windows... it's still incomplete and hasn't been updated in months though, which is a shame

also for anyone who still wants to play sims 4 for whatever reason, i remember zlorigin being pretty good a few years ago. depends on how much you trust slavs i suppose

man i remember graham being at the forefront of all the initial sims 4 development drama... seven years ago. fun times
 
I must say the new pack looks great, I'll definitely be pirating it. On the other hand it's funny watching the community sperging out right now because EA had some youtubers build all the lots for the new town and *gasp* their all white!

EA are a bunch of money hungry grubs I can understand people seething but most of the sims random are a bunch of fucking cry baby retards.
