I can only see philosophy as a joke. There was a teacher that only talked about wrestling and philosophy, saying shit like "the greatest intellectuals and leaders were first wrestlers and philosophers second." his biggest complaint was that the girls in his Wrestling team would get the scholarship over the boys. According to many of his students he would talk more about his"Philosophies" than his actual teaching material. He congratulated a student for having the best grade from his class in the Advance placement exams. That student scored a 2, the highest score is 5, anything below 4 is considered failing.

Philosophy used to not be a joke when it was the new thing on the block, thing is, the other newest thing on the block was lead plumbing. People shittalk Plato and Socrates for being entry level, like everything they pondered ain't shit. Thing is, back in ancient Greece, philosophy wasn't just limited to pondering ethics, it's also the word they used for science. Philosophers back then were made up of actual geniuses, whether they came up with inventions, created new fields of math, figured out physics or made observations on human nature.

Another thing I'm sick of hearing when it comes to these skeptics is how they'll constantly force the family unit down your throat. The nuclear family is not the be all end all, nor has it ever been. In fact, it used to be that your tribe was your family, & everyone in the tribe raised you.

They'd prefer a mother support both a kid & a deadbeat dad than just a kid. If father figures are really necessary, I would think having a not-shitty one would be paramount to just having one period. Think about it, is it better to have a kid influenced by an alcoholic or by nobody at all? Or, what if, dare I say, the mother could be a decent role model?

I think Armored Skeptic was the worst example of that. When people started calling him a hypocrite with a massive ego, he started shielding himself with "I'm just a comedian!" tweets. At the same time, glorifying Youtube community after the Pewdiepie drama. Saying shit like "we're the intellectually honest alternative to mainstream media".
