The Skeptic Community - Pseudo-intellectuals ranting on Youtube

Thunderf00t one track? You realise he did 48 videos on creationism, right?

That's how I became a fan of the guy. It was a great series. You'd learn a bit of popular science, running through maths in Thunderf00t's characteristically pedantic way: "Kent Hovind says that you could cover the Earth in a drop of water if you stretch it thin enough? Well no, let's run those numbers and see what is the minimum amount of water you'd need to cover the Earth to a 1-molecule thickness"

Awesome.

And I got to laugh at twats like venomfangx and you're-a-fucktard-aren't-ya-Kent-Hovind. It was low-tier for online atheism at the time, but it was fun, and you could claim it had some serious business when yanks at the time where trying to push creationism in schools through fucking "wedge strategies".

Things changed because, as was pointed out on page 1, there really isn't anything that unites atheists and sceptics once things like the Dover Trial have been put to bed. So then we get dickheads like Dick Carrier and PZ Myers deciding that atheism needs to be pepped up by onboarding a whole load of additional shit about social justice to become Atheism+. Thunderf00t is initially welcomed into this movement as a contributor to Freethought blogs, but is quickly ejected after his first post, in which he explains how much he thinks feminism sucks ass.

Now the atheist community splits. They had nothing to rally around before, but now they've got some arbitrary line across which they can fling shit. Thunderf00t plants his flag firmly in the Anti-SJW camp, suspends all hostilities to creationism, and goes on to help the cause of conflating scepticism with Anti-SJWs. A whole bunch of grifter dumbasses heed the call. Armoured Sceptic for one, admitted at Mythcon that his first exposure to online atheism was after the Atheism+ nonsense. Sargon admits in that first response to Thunderf00t leaving the community that he was the disciple to the master.

Years on, "sceptic" has nothing to do with debunking UFOs (Sargon is willing to believe in them because he sees something odd in the sky). It has nothing to do with combating lizard conspiracy theories (Sargon was a 9/11 truther). It has nothing to do with any of the old James Randi stuff or Skeptic Magazine. Now, "scepticism" is just this thing that a bunch of uneducated morons who had no business in any intellectual sphere inherited, because they saw some atheists hating on feminists and went "yeah, I hate feminists too!"

You complain about Sargon stealing memes and killing them? He stole an entire intellectual movement and killed it.

Which is fair enough. Atheist activism was dead after Dover, was already infested with retards like TJ Kirk, and was intellectually niche otherwise. It deserved to be replaced with a different form of retard.

And to be fair, if any of you feel cringey about watching early anti-SJW stuff, new atheism wasn't any less retarded. All of it, atheism, atheism+, anti-SJWs, intellectual dark webs, are all part of the great evolution of retardation, a wonderful thing to behold, and we should be grateful to be its witnesses.

Which is fair enough. Atheist activism was dead after Dover, was already infested with exceptional individuals like TJ Kirk, and was intellectually niche otherwise. It deserved to be replaced with a different form of exceptional individual.

And to be fair, if any of you feel cringey about watching early anti-SJW stuff, new atheism wasn't any less exceptional. All of it, atheism, atheism+, anti-SJWs, intellectual dark webs, are all part of the great evolution of exceptionalism, a wonderful thing to behold, and we should be grateful to be its witnesses.
If you read the wording of my post I said his content has BECOME one track, not that it has always been one track. His content used to be a lot more varied, now it's mostly just him A-logging Elon Musk amid taking down shitty kickstarters.

And I'm saying that, when he started, his content WAS one track. He was the guy who did the "why do people laugh at creationist videos."

I liked those videos, and I like the routine shitting on nonsensical kickstarter projects like water seer, solar roadways and hyperloop. He's good at that stuff, just as he was good at the anti-creationism stuff.

Oh dear lord.

"Freedom Toons" is one of the biggest piles of shit on Youtube. Just putting that out there.

Few things:
1. Venomfangx was some uneducated kid on youtube while thunderf00t has degrees in science. Of course he "owned" some random fucktard, it wasn't hard.

2. He made an absolute fool of himself on free thought blogs, a blog network that was full of exceptionalism to begin with. He made literal caps lock rants against feminism that were poorly argued. He made a youtube poll on his own channel and used the results to try and prove that his arguments were correct. He argued that, sincerely, to scientists, who are all aware of selection bias. That's when it became obvious that he isn't particularly smart or insightful, he picked the most low hanging fruit possible in YouTube.

3. He leaked stuff from the ftb server after using an exploit to get in after he was fired, and tried to get back on the server w the info after leaking the info. He's just really dumb in a lot of ways and a pompous asshole in top of it.

Thunderfoot seems like the really typical scientist who gets deep into their field of study and actually knows shit there, but their head gets so far up their own ass they think they also know everything about everything as well because they can't just be smart about their expertise!

Do any of these skeptics have any qualifications at all, because that is my biggest issues with them, they act like they are masters in a field yet have no qualifications in it whatsoever. Some of them like Sargon have even been paid to speak at colleges and universities.

His spelling and grammar are at the levels of a near illiterate. I'm going to guess that the other authors on his papers have to do all the actual writing, since reviewers don't really like articles written in text speak.

Also, he thinks the lower torso is called a "mid-rift".

Only thinderf00t who has a PhD and isn't involved in the gay OPs. Kraut, Sargon, Shitrat, etc. are either college or high school dropouts.

Same also goes for JF.
>inb4 "JF is a skeptic?"
Minus being involved in any major gay ops (at least to my knowledge at the time of me writing this post), the leaf frog shares almost every other skeptic characteristic.

JF isn't a "skeptic" and the "skeptics" aren't really Skeptics. "skeptics" are a dumb, buttmad internet clique. JF is alt-right.

I'll put it this way:
  • pseudo-intellectual:agree:
  • constantly high from his own farts:agree:
  • monolithic but fragile ego:agree:
  • prone to being mad on the internet:agree:
  • negative value sex appeal that makes vaginas dryer than the Sahara Desert:agree:
  • does dumb shit because he's horny:agree:
  • brainlet who thinks he's smart:agree:
  • terrible human being or otherwise a massive fuckup:agree:
  • associated with a clique of other fuckups or a lolcow community:agree: (in his case the alt-right)
  • a failure IRL:agree:
  • :autism::agree:
  • cannot function outside his hugbox:agree:
  • involved in large scale a-logging and wееning Discord ops:disagree:
If JF isn't a skeptic, he would fit in perfectly in my opinion.
