I'm going to admit.
I watched these 'intellectual' Youtubers for a while; I hardcore followed them and listened to everything they put out. I usually agreed with them and believed them to be intelligent individuals. But over the years I've been losing faith in these people and now I've completely cut myself off from them altogether. They've recently been getting involved with really petty drama and they constantly repeat themselves, always talking about the same thing over and over again with no change.
These guys sit on the internet complaining about politics and SJWs but they don't do ANYTHING about it, they never seem to get involved or try to fix problems, if they really cared so much about politics they'd run for an actual political position. Sargon of Akkad has been going for fucking years and only now has he gotten involved with an actual political party, however the political party he's gotten involved with (UKIP) is in complete disarray and has zero chance of ever winning anything.
I know this is not an original post but holy shit why did I used to listen to these people. If you don't like the way your country is going run for a political position, don't sit on Youtube waving your dick about and pretending you're a powerful person.

Personally willing to admit I've listened to a lot of people from the "skeptic" community, even to today still watch a few videos, but I think the important thing is not to become some blind cult follower or take them more seriously than the bloggers they are
For example I remember watching years back thunderfoot as he made videos on Sarkeesian, and I thought it was alright, it simply was a person giving his own take on the person, and I agreed, but then I remember around the US election and Brexit the guy veered into that side of politics, and of course a lot of people who watched him because of his anti feminist content got pissed, and I remember wondering why people were taking it so hard that a youtuber didn't agree with them, they're not your friends, they're not your leader, don't try to idealize a 30 year old man vlogging

I used to watch Thunderfoot on and off, I avoided his political stuff and only watched his stuff about scummy kickstarters, but then I noticed that when he would give an "update" to them such as the solar roads or the IR food thing his "updates" were mostly just him repeating what he said in previous videos even if it didn't really make sense in context to the update.

Well they are displacing network news, the problem is they think it's because of their effort rather than network news committing seppuku
Basically everyone born after 1990 doesn't watch the jewbox anymore, so they're either getting their news from spergs on woke sites/blogs or spergs on youtube, the funny thing though is thinking you're going to be part of the new established news media rather than being displaced by whoever our Google overlords deign worthy once the dust settles
