Get ready for months of articles about the first nigger/first waman on the Moon. Not trying to dismiss their qualifications, just the fact that articles like that will flood media.
Not "on" the moon. Not even in orbit. This is going to be a "proof of concept" test where they will slingshot around the moon. Artemis III will be the lunar lander test. Artemis IV is going to be the manned landing.

They are not even gunna land on the moon, it’s just a flyby. I guess this is a test to see if NASA can fly to the moon with a woman in the driver’s seat? Despite the fact she isn’t actually driving lol.
I bet the nig chimps out, rapes the woman or gets everyone killed then the feds cover it up.
Good evening/morning sirs, we are under 24 hours now for tomorrow's launch and it is going to be a doozy. We aren't going to watch another Falcon 9. This day is (hopefully) The Day for the second launch in the Artemis programs history.
The biggest hurdle will be at 7 AM ET. That is when they will start fueling the SLS with liquid hydrogen and oxygen. Needless to say, those are both elements that don't behave when in their gas state, never mind as liquids. The reason for the roll back in March was the launch stack failed the fueling test. The damn thing was leaking again, just like with Artemis I. This time though, the fuel test went without a hitch. But fueling the platform remains the biggest danger and if she springs a leak again the mission will almost certainly be scrubbed.
As for exploding on launch? Not likely. The performance in tests on the range and the Artemis I mission were pretty solid, absent the fuel leak issue which "should" be fixed now.
I don't really like the Artemis program. I think it has a shitload of bloat and bad decisions going on. But I hope it all goes well, swallowing my pride to give modern NASA a W is a small price to pay for the stars.

The funny part is that this is a really inexperienced crew all things considered. For the American astronauts, this is all their second space flight. For the Canadian, his first.
They want to basically test the entire thing on 3 because the landers would not be ready to go to the moon in 2027 and so they can just fly for the sake of flying. This is done to basically make it seem like they have brought Artemis under control and it is being done so much more efficiently because the centres are being used (there are loads of facilities that are continuously funded by Artemis which are not used, take the VAB money from Artemis is still spent on it whilst it is not flying).
Plus, NASA basically cannot sit on Artemis 3 now that Mobile Launcher 2 has been cancelled as they'll need to modify the current platform to use Centaur which will require some time afterwards so it is ready for Artemis 4.

The actual point of the mission is to test how the spacecraft's manual control functions, and basically confirm it actually works; and that they can perform rendezvous. You don't want to just launch to the moon and find out you can't dock. This is why they are testing it now on Artemis 3. And the reason why it's not going into lunar orbit is because there is not much fuel on the Orion service module. It's a skinny boy. - And NASA doesn't want to inject Orion fully into a trans lunar orbit with the interim stage because they want to do the orbital manoeuvres close to earth.

Same. I think the SpaceX Starship has more potential. But NASA is going all in on this one, and if it works, it works. Its also designed to play nice with others. So Starship components can use the SLS and Orion. At a minimum all the space agencies and corporations are working at universal adaptability. Which is critical. If a manned flight runs into trouble, it shouldn't have its crew die because the nearest rescue uses a proprietary docking port incompatible with theirs.
This is a really big deal and sadly won't get the coverage it deserves unless something goes terribly wrong and they can blame Trump for cutting funding somewhere

If that ever becomes an issue, just get EU on call, they made Apple bend the knee, kiss the ring and use USB-C, so something smaller like NASA/SpaceX shouldn't be a problem.
