I honestly only know about American politics from what I read on the Internet but since we all love shitting on leftists I figured we'd get a kick out of this. Also it's trending on Twitter so you know it's important.

NEW YORK — Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a 28-year-old political novice running on a low budget and an unabashedly liberal platform, upset longtime U.S. Rep. Joseph Crowley on Tuesday in the Democratic congressional primary in New York.

The surprise victory by the community organizer in a district that includes parts of the Bronx and Queens came after an energetic, grassroots campaign that mustered more than enough support in a low-turnout race that many had expected to be an easy win for Crowley, a member of the Democratic House leadership.

“The community is ready for a movement of economic and social justice. That is what we tried to deliver,” said Ocasio-Cortez, who has never held elected office and whose candidacy attracted only modest media attention.

She told The Associated Press after her victory that she didn’t have enough money to do polling in the race, but felt in her gut that her message had a chance to connect.

“I live in this community. I organized in this community. I felt the absence of the incumbent. I knew he didn’t have a strong presence,” she said.

Crowley has been in Congress since 1999 and hadn’t faced an opponent in a primary election since 2004, when Ocasio-Cortez was just a teenager. He was considered a candidate to become the next House speaker if Democrats win the majority.

“It’s not about me,” Crowley, 56, told his supporters at a campaign party following his loss. “It’s about America. I want nothing but the best for Ms. Ocasio-Cortez. I want her to be victorious.”

He later played guitar with a band at the election night gathering, and dedicated the first song, Bruce Springsteen’s “Born to Run,” to Ocasio-Cortez.

Crowley represents New York’s 14th Congressional District, where he is also the leader of the Queens Democratic party.

Ocasio-Cortez was outspent by an 18-1 margin during her race but won the endorsement of some influential groups on the party’s far left, including MoveOn, as well as the actress Cynthia Nixon, who is running for governor. She defeated Crowley by 15 percentage points.

Born in the Bronx to a mother from Puerto Rico and a father who died in 2008, Ocasio-Cortez said she decided to challenge Crowley to push a more progressive stance on economic and other issues.

She attended Boston University, where she earned degrees in economics and international relations, and also spent time working in the office of the late U.S. Sen. Edward Kennedy.

After graduating, she returned to the Bronx where she became a community organizer. In the 2016 presidential campaign she worked for U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders.

Among her issues is expanding the Medicare program to people of all ages and abolishing Immigrations and Customs Enforcement. She recently went to Tornillo, Texas, to protest against policies that have separated parents from their children at the southern U.S. border.

Ocasio-Cortez gained some internet attention for a campaign video called “The Courage to Change,” a two-minute spot for which she wrote the script and featured footage from her own home.

Crowley is chair of the House Democratic Caucus, the fourth-highest ranking position in Democratic leadership in that chamber of Congress.

His loss drew the attention of President Donald Trump.

“Wow! Big Trump Hater Congressman Joe Crowley, who many expected was going to take Nancy Pelosi’s place, just LOST his primary election. In other words, he’s out! That is a big one that nobody saw happening. Perhaps he should have been nicer, and more respectful, to his President!” he tweeted.

The Republican candidate for the office, Anthony Pappas, is running unopposed and had no primary. Pappas teaches economics at St. John’s University.

She was a Bernie campaigner, is supported by BLM, and wants to abolish Immigrations and Customs Enforcement. Also this was in a solid-blue Congressional District so you know she's a shoo-in for next Congress.

But hey, we did get to see Trump laugh at Crowley on Twitter.

Pelosi all smiles after meeting with Ocasio-Corte

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said she had a good meeting on Friday with Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the freshman lawmaker who has seized the Democratic spotlight in clashes with her own party leaders, as well as President Donald Trump.
The two women conferred on Capitol Hill, at Ocasio-Cortez's request, as congressional Democrats left Washington for a break of six weeks with an unclear outlook for their legislative agenda and many investigations of Trump.

Impeaching Trump remains high on the priority list for left-wing Democrats such as Ocasio-Cortez. She did not speak to reporters after her meeting with Pelosi, who has worked to rein in demands for starting the process to remove Trump from office.

Pelosi told reporters after the meeting that it went "very well."

“I don’t think we have that many differences," she said, adding that she meets with other lawmakers "all the time."

Later, Pelosi tweeted that she and Ocasio-Cortez "sat down to discuss working together to meet the needs of our districts and our country, fairness in our economy and diversity in our country."

There was no immediate comment from Ocasio-Cortez's office.

Ocasio-Cortez had requested one-on-one time with Pelosi, the most powerful Democrat in the country, to discuss their relationship after weeks of party infighting over border aid legislation and other issues.

Earlier this month Pelosi appeared dismissive of the influence of Ocasio-Cortez and three other minority progressive congresswomen, known as “the squad,” in an interview with the New York Times. Ocasio-Cortez responded by telling the Washington Post that she thought Pelosi had been "disrespectful."

Trump then attacked the minority lawmakers in tweets that the House of Representatives, under Pelosi’s leadership, afterward voted to condemn as racist.

While Trump’s attack was seen by some as an attempt to divide Democrats, it gave Pelosi a chance to come to the squad’s defense and reset her relationship with the lawmakers as the 2020 congressional and presidential elections approach.

After former Special Counsel Robert Mueller appeared on Wednesday about his investigation of Trump and Russian meddling in U.S. politics, Ocasio-Cortez told reporters she hoped his testimony would pressure Pelosi and show the U.S. public that "impeachment is a prudent and responsible act.”

Pelosi, in a news conference on Wednesday after the Mueller testimony, gave no sign that she was speeding up her step-by-step approach to considering impeachment.

Ocasio-Cortez and one other squad member, Representative Rashida Tlaib, voted with the majority of Democrats in the House Thursday for a two-year deal to fund the federal government and extend the nation's borrowing authority. But two other members of the group, Representative Ayanna Pressley and Representative Ilhan Omar, voted against it.

Guess it went well for Pelosi or at least the author wants us to think it went well for her.

"White people are the biggest terrorist threat to the USA. Here is some stats. "

"OK. Also blacks are the biggest homicide threat. Here is some stats."

"That's racist."

The irony is rich. But man, talk about political suicide. Saying "white man bad!!" Ain't going to win you favors with one the biggest voting blocs available to help you out. Yeah, I mean there is cucks and submissive pigs and shit, but they ain't enough of a factor to cater to.

Pelosi just gonna get cucked again and look more like a dunce. Ya know she acting fine but under that smile is so much seething at how the Democrats are literally doomed from this retarded woke shit.

She sympathized with people trying to join ISIS in her state, blew off 9/11 as some people doing something, and now this - she literally does need to go back to the shithole country she came from. And all the liberal cuckolds here in America won't for a second call her on this racism while they ignore our black on black murder statistics or all the crime that rapefugees are causing in formerly white countries in Europe.

Omar is far more dangerous than AOC.
I think she could ultimately be more vicious than Hillary. Pray to Vishnu that Allah never gives her significant power and money.

Edit: She and her husband filed for divorce today. Sure seems like her husband didn't know about her brother marriage. I guess that makes Trump a homewrecker...

Are there even enough white people in her constituency to make a difference?

Minnesota's 5th District is also the most diverse in the state, with 36 percent people of color.

Enh. Whites are still a majority. I don't see how that would be enough to unseat the long-standing Congressmen of that distri--

The millennial age group, ranging from 22 to 36 years old, also makes up the greatest share of the voting-age population in the district at 35 percent, or more than 200,000 voters.

Oh. That would do it.

So minorities (22,000 of them Somalian) who all vote as a bloc plus dipshit young wokewhites put this nested viper into office. I hope she turns the place into a mini-Mogadishu. Those idiots deserve it.

Are millennials finally voting?

Even if millennials aren’t turning out to the polls, I’ll bet Omar gets plenty of support from older white liberals who should know better. I know from experience that it’s almost impossible to convince upper middle class white liberals that any politician “of color” is bad.

CAIR pre-dates 9/11 (it was reportedly set up because the film True Lies was full of Islamophobia, no, seriously) and is pretty much a bunch of useful idiots for Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood.

CAIR is Hamas, they're literally a front group and in fact are banned by most European and Muslim countries as a terrorist organization.

This is one of the rare occasions where I can actually vote something Islamic Content...

Instead, she was merely pointing out a double standard: that people who are afraid of Muslim extremists aren't afraid of white extremists who are responsible for more deaths.

I never got this line of reasoning-- "oh, but we're more at risk by white people than we are by terrorists". Regardless of whether or not that's the case, supposing it was, why would you think that importing more problems on top of the ones we already have isn't a problem that deserves to be addressed?

Pelosi just gonna get cucked again and look more like a dunce. Ya know she acting fine but under that smile is so much seething at how the Democrats are literally doomed from this exceptional woke shit.
Either cucked or she just told AOC in no uncertain terms that she'll have her ass if she doesn't straighten her shit out.
