You came in at the perfect time, dude. I feel like we're in one of the best sumo eras ever, and it's about to get better. We really had some depressing sumo there for a while after Hakuho retired.Oh wow I didn’t know there was an actual thread for this. I got into Sumo like 6 months ago and it seems it was the perfect time to catch Aonishiki’s ascent. Really hope he can pull off Yokozuna this basho.
He fights Fujinokawa, who is significantly smaller than him, but Fujinokawa is also insanely powerful and fights like a pitbull. I think how he fights in this matchup; if he doesn’t win quickly and decisively, we will know definitively that he is fighting badly hurt.I am absolutely worried about Onosato. He looked panicked as soon as he locked up with Atamifuji last night. I really hope he isn't injured too badly.
Its fine, as I have said before I have been waiting for the wheels to fall off this run I guess they finally have. He will be the better for it, spending a year with highest ranks will be better for his sumo as he continues to develop his skills. Now if you could please put a Takayasu or Hoshoryu yusho in the bag no one needs to get hurt!Aonishiki bros I don't feel so good

Could be, but I didn't think he moved any different. He just seemed frantic to me, like he was panicking trying to think of what to do as "don't lose don't lose don't lose don't lose don't lose" is going through his head. The Aonishiki collapse reeks of secret injury but I guess we won't really know unless they decide to divulge the info.

In one of his bouts this basho what looked like a stone rolled off the tawara where his foot had been. On pause it seemed to be a bandage that had been around his foot or toe. I think the odds of him having a broken big toe are pretty high, and it lines up with the way he was losing his bouts.Could be, but I didn't think he moved any different. I could swear I heard something about a hurt toe just the other day, but I can't remember where. He has had bandaged big toes for a very long time though, no?I think the odds of him having a broken big toe are pretty high, and it lines up with the way he was losing his bouts.
